Cally has a new ticker, about 71 more days?

I decorated the outside today...started anyway...Britt and me picked up some new lights, we needed em cause I threw out alotta the old stuff. We were due for new~

What kind of camera did you buy for Liz?

We bought some sort of Sony Cyber-shot.

Nothing really extravagant, just a basic digital camera.

The kids are watching A Charlie Brown Christmas. I am sorta kind of too while I dis :santa: :
Me Too:thumbsup2

Roger called today! He said they landed yesterday and after they got their room assignments he fell asleep and slept for 12 hours. He just woke up when he called me. It was 1am there..or did he say 2am :confused3 It was around 5:40pm here. :
:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Brittany and me were talking yesterday, she said she wanted a polaroid, I said I could get her a kodak easy share and she could take pictures and print them alot cheaper than any polaroid~

Liz and I are planning on going shopping in the BIG city tomorrow at the big mall:thumbsup2 Probably stop in at Toy R US too while we are there.

We did go out shopping today and got Liz a camera for Christmas. She has wanted her own camera for years.

Have a fun shopping!

I got a cyber shot too. Gave the old one to Roger. I hope he's taking pictures of camels.

Cally it's nice that you heard from Roger already.

Where is he?
He's in the "desert". ;)

I don't remember if I mentioned when he'd be back or not but he told me Feb. 8.

Hope it goes by fast too but I don't want to rush Christmas either. :headache:

Don't forget the pictures when you get done :cheer2:

I won't be decorating the outside this year. Roger usually puts up the lights and the big light up train thing in the yard.

I just have bows on the garage lights and a wreath on the door.

She wants a polaroid? The kind that shoots out a picture after you take it? Or a digital polaroid?

Before i forget.....here is Mac enjoying her first Birthday cake!

Aww, she's too cute, DU:goodvibes

I bought Liz a Sony CyberShot DSC-W55 model. It is black.

It was on sale for $199.00.

Anybody got any idea how much they cost across the border:confused3

I think that cameras might be cheaper for you guys than they are here.

Cally, it's okay to "change" your Christmas decorating every now and again. ;)

Morning threadkillers.

Cally, sorry you overpaid on your camera but we all do things like that at some point.

It does make you mad though doesn't it.

We were thinking that we might wait until we got to Florida in January to buy Liz her camera but of course she didn't want to wait that long;)

Betsy, have fun with your shopping. I need breakfast too so that I can go shopping;)

Have a great day everyone. :wave2:

Wow, that is a good price.

I know I bought Liz's on sale but I don't remember what the normal price of it was.:confused3

I had no idea Polaroid makes a digital :confused3

Mackenzie looks ADORABLE!!!!!

Cally, I will take some pics when I am done out front. I like to accent the yard with red bows, gotta go get some new ones tho...I'll get them while I am out today and maybe gets some pics up by tonight :confused3

I don't go crazy with the lights. I only do what I can reach. We have lotsa tall trees I'd love to decorate and the house would look awesome all trimmed up in lights ~ someday I'll just pay somebody to do the tall stuff for me, I'd break my neck if I tried to do all that myself.

hi ya!! DS has a basketball game last night...it was one of those on edge of your seat games...started off with St Francis having a pretty good lead over the other team which they held almost the whole game...then in the last 5 mins....Fresno gets a few 3ptr shots back to back....& we're down to a 3 pt lead ....yikes...but St Francis comes back & wins with a 9 pt lead....that happened in last 2 mins.....

Today is our 20th anniversary....DH just had a dzn beautiful red roses delivered to my office....he doesn't do that very often...so was definitely a wonderful surprise:love:
Going out to dinner this evening....just the two of us~DS has BB practice anyway...& then another game tomorrow night & one Friday night as well....

DU- LOVE that photo of Mac...she is a CUTIE!!!!:cutie:

Off to lunch soon with friend Michelle...it's her birthday today! Got her the cutest Tink shirt!!!!

Hi Threadkillers!

CADZ - Happy Anniversary! Where are you going for dinner?

DU - Mackenzie is so adorable! I wanna be your neice, too! I always send two of my grandkids "gelt" (Never heard it called that before) for Hanukkah - they use them in the dreidel game.

I read the camera stuff - I have a digital camera that I download pictures and do nothing with them....like I used to do with regular pictures. I am not a picture taker - behind or in front of the camera, but I admire anyone who does...that's work!

Cally - glad you got a call from Roger. When Tom was in the desert for the first party with HWBush, they didn't have calls or e-mail readily available, so we had to rely on old fashioned letters...the waiting was tense. Give him our best.

Speaking of Tom - he said thanks for all the birthday wishes.

Well, I took my dad to his radiation treatment today (I do it on Wednesdays) then Christmas shopping. He'll finish in the next day or so - then it's on to wrapping! Not only am I the family cook, I also wrap everyones presents - Dad, Mom even a few of Tinknutts! I think because they know I'M done with my wrapping!

Gotta scoot....lots to do!

Yep, my first digital camera was a Polaroid. :)

Ann That must of been hard to wait on letters! I am so glad they are able to use internet and phones over there! We'd be in trouble if we relied on letters because Roger hates to write.

He tells me they are only allowed to use the phone twice a week and only for 15mins. When the 15 mins are about up a loud siren or beeping noise is heard on the phone. Quite annoying..

Also he says it's hard to get to the phones and the media center for internet because they have no transportation so they have to walk. He says it's like a mile away. Even the bathrooms to shower and stuff are far away

Can you imagine having to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night and have to walk a mile to use it :sad2: At least males have it a lil easier ;)

I don't expect to hear from him much. He says he's busy when he's over there because he has 12 hour flights every other day and then sleeps most of the time on his days off. Flying really puts wear and tear on your body. He was telling me your body is like in "work out" mode the whole time you're in flight due to the altitude and stress of being in air.

Well it's almost time for the kids to come home... gotta help with homework :teacher:
