I just found your address from when you gave it to me to send you a postcard from the Threadkiller cruise in January

I knew I had it. I just kept it in a very, very, very safe spot

Morning~ another cold morning. 31 degrees and todays high is 62. We have a freeze warning til 9am today.

Rory, I was looking forward to The Bee movie. The previews look so good.

Good morning threadkillers and lurkers alike

I have seen my intruder in the fireplace. It is a squirrel. A cute little black squirrel.

Now to figure out how to get it out of there.

I could send the cat in No I wouldn't do that.

I'm wondering if, since squirrels are excellent climbers and this one obviously goes back up the chimney, if it can not get out of the last few feet that is smooth tile at the top

I'm thinking that maybe I will go up there and tie a rope and dangle it down the chimney a few feet. The squirrel might then be able to get itself out.

Worth a try right, unless anybody has any better ideas

Now I just have to find me some rope.

I'm off to take Dad to his radiation therapy and we're going to run a few errands together. Dinner's at my house with the family. Gobbler Cobbler (DalPal's made it - it's a good standard recipe), homemade dinner rolls (a test batch) and DNephew requested chocolate chip cookies for dessert...easier than pie!

Car is in the shop...waiting & waiting & waiting for the news. I nedd it to go to work tonight!

Saw the Bee movie over the weekend, was alright not great. Wouldn't recommend.

They ADVERTISED the heck outta that! Just from the commercials alone, I dont want to see it!

We are waiting for Enchantment & Mr. Magorium's Magic Emporium here!

Was that from the BETA days? Never heard of it.

It was a show from the 50's, that they use to show on reruns at night when i was a kid. It was a Anthology series about all "REAL LIFE" ghost stories!

I did call the exterminator.

The guy has been here and gone but the squirrel is still here

I guess the little thing likes me

The guy came and we tried to get the squirrel to go into the cage but there was a small electric fireplace insert in the opening and the squirrel refused to come out from behind there and go where we wanted it to.

We tried making noises and poking sticks etc but it was having none of it.

After much excitement and trepidation we managed to pull the fireplace insert out. The squirrel went a little crazy and went back up the flue.

So we stuck a baited cage in there and closed it back up again.

Now I've got to wait and see if the squirrel will come back and go into the cage.

The guy wants extra money to come back and take the squirrel away. I said, what if the squirrel gets in the cage and I let it out myself

He just looked at me and said............ I didn't see any squirrel

So, the saga continues

They sorta fixed my car.

bad coil, but they want to keep it over night & check again in the am!

No can do, need it for work tonight.

Sooooooooooo have to wait for my sister to come home from work, then pick it up, go to work, leave work early bring the car back, get my friend Bob to pick me up at the dealers, drive me home, sleep, wakeup, wait for my sister to come home from work, drive me back to the dealers, get the car and go to work!

But, guess what, the squirrel has moved on

I left to go get groceries shortly after the pest guy put in the trap.

An hour and a half later when I got home the squirrel was already in the trap

He/she has been sent on it's way. You should have seen how excited it got when it was taken outside

Im glad you got it out safe and sound....You are now its hero....
We had bats in our pipe befor we closed it up.....FUN!..

Ive been busy looking at kitchen designs....we are going to start finishing up our kitchen...I think we are going to have oak cabinets...I have already gotten 12in. granet tiles for the island top,...We will be building the island ourselves...well Mike will build it and I will tile it....
It will be two levels..a counter hight prep area...and a higher food bar area around the outside...with stools...It should sit five if the plans work out...ixiedust:

I just hate having cars repaired....the droping off, the waiting, the picking up...always needing to get someone to drive ya to and from....Its all just a big pain....
Some times I think we should all go back to horse and buggies ...LOL...

Well Mike just walked in the door after getting home late...Im gonna go feed the poor guy!....
