OMG - it was 31 years ago today (july 20 1976 that Hank set that record)....how weird is that!!! anyway - don't know where i was....altho i really wasn't much into BB back then.....Bonds turns 43 next week - so hoping his HR's keep up and his 755th or 6th happens on his BD - Mon or Tues - i forget exactly which day it is....that would just be a very cool BD gift to yourself.....

We go to NYC (my best friend from high school who still lives in Iowa) on Sept 19th....will be there till early the 24th...so taking in as much of the city as possible....a NYY game (LOVE DJ & AROD) and then we had much discussion over which play & both thought Wicked would be awesome...so glad to hear you thought so too...it was between that & Jersey Boys....

GB is Great Britain. I love to stop and get a Stella at the Rose & Crown; they have good food there too,and the atmosphere is great.

i'm baaaaccckkkkk.....from a 4 1/2 RT to Lake San Antonio...actually took Ryan & a friend down for a weekend camping trip with his buddies. Let him drive most of the way...he did pretty good for only his 2nd time on a major highway. CA law cdoesnt allow 16 y/o's to drive with other kids under 20 without someone 25 y/o in the car...so in a way..that's good....but then i'm still needing to run him around if he has friends going with....

Just going to hang out & wait for DH to get home from work - then pick up my niece & head over to B&N.....have a great night!!

We got back from B&N about a 1/2 hour ago. I took my girls and NSalz's girls for the HP party. It started at 8:00 we preordered out book and at about 5:45 we picked up our wrist band then came home and went to a little league game before B&N. We were about #100 on line but were in the car by 12:15. They were very efficient. THe girls all wanted to go to the party at 8. I told them if they got bored or tired, I'd bring them home and go back and wait for the book, but it was well done and they had a great time so stayed the whole time.

The Lord DOES work in mysterious ways. He makes you loose you mind...then gives ya a twofer on M&M's! All in all I think that's quite fair!

We actually only got one, which we had preordered. Preorders got to be first on line and then the people who did not preorder got in line with there bracelets. There were probably about 600-700 preprder peoplethere that night, so I wasn't getting another bracelet to get on line behind them! I really want to start reading it myself, but don't want to wait for the rest of the familoy, so I'll probably go buy another one tonight. WE have a graduation party for my nephew today and I told LizzY that she cannot read the book at the party! This is the nephew that got the 1,000 career pasketball points this year. Can't remember the total # of points he had at the end of the year, but he did end up getting a full basketball scholarship to Concordia, a Division II school.

WE have the first editions too, but they certainly are not in mint condition! SOme are falling apart from being read so many times!

well - we got the "B" bracelets for our books...but we got them & in the car leaving the parking lot at 12:13 - dropped niece at home & was in bed AND asleep by 12:30....got to sleep in till 5:30 this a.m. so needless to say everyone else was at the office by the time i got there at 6;30...oh well!

Our party was okay....really geared more towards young kids...we should have gotten our bands and gone to a movie or something....5 hours at B&N was just too long....

GLAD to have our books - even tho i won't even get to start reading it till much later tonite....

I started being an HP fan with the first movie...then it went down hill from there...They just didnt keep my interest ...
I dont even think ive seen the last one..befor this new movie thats out now...and I have never read the books...Are they much different from the movies?

Hubby and me are leaning back towards no sept trip

We have our two weeks in nc and then a week in fl in decembèr to look forward to. Moneywise I think its best we skip sept.

If I wasn't also looking to get a new car I wouldve said yes. I hope you all have a good time at the world this fall, ill be missing you.
