Ugh, can't sleep tonight.

Colleen, we arrive at almost the same time as you do, except on the Friday.

Our plan is to try and get into MNSSHP that night, if we can. I plan on heading over there early so that we can hopefully enter the park around 4pm.

We have no concrete plans to meet up with Betsy and her gang while we are there. But I'm hoping that I will be able to call her if we get in and spend some time with her. That is if her gang doesn't mind. (have not discussed this with Betsy at all yet)

I bet the whole experience would be better if we were there with a couple of young'uns.

So, I guess that our attendance that night comes down to whether there are tickets available or not.

Both Liz and I are quite interested in going. It looks like a lot of fun.

I planned on buying a ticket today, along with my Epcot pass. I am weird like that, I prefer to have passes in hand before I go. I also noticed that prices are higher if they are purchsed at the gate rather than online.

I did expect to get a call from you Robin,
and now Ill be expecting a call from Colleen...
I dont think we will be at the MK, in the AM....I think Im going to try for a rest morning...and just hang by the pool ...that way the boys wont be too tired for the party....So Im expecting to go to MK, around 4 PM...
Now Mike isnt one to just sit around...so this plan may not work....We will just have to wait and see....

I decided to buy the ticket for sure, my intent is to hang with you, Mike, the boys, Robin and Liz. I presume you don't mind my tagging along?

I figure the time at the pool will fly by and I will make a point to eat before I go to the park so 4pm will get there quick enough where I won't get bored.

My basic plan for the week is.....
Arrive in the AM of the 22nd(Sat.) ...check in and head to Epcot....
R&C for dinner..( one of my faves of the world!)..and Illuminations of course...
Sun....
MK, all day..., mass at 6PM..and then back to MK for wishes...
Mon....
AK, in the AM(lunch at FTBBQ) and MGM in the PM(50s for dinner)
Tue...
Epcot, in the AM..( CS lunch), dessert at the CR, ( so the boys can enjoy the tank), and CMs for dinner...early night back to the resort...
Wed....
MGM, all day with CS for lunch, and MM for dinner...
Thur....
MK in the AM, WCC for lunch, and AK in the PM, also hopefully Make it back to MK for the only Spectro we will be able to see.
Fri...
AM rest????, PM MK, and the PARTY!
Sat....
Epcot all day, for the F&W fest, AND Dismeet....with lunch at LeCellier (our ADR is for 1, Colleen)and meeting Ann, Robin, and Liz...and anyone else who is there.. ...Not sure when and where tho...(GUYS?????)
Sun....
start the day with a 7:30 mass.....Then is the boys choice, for the day...
Mon.10/1....
WE go home
Thats it....as long as we followthe plan ...You will be able to find us....or just call ..our phones will always be on.... ....

I planned on buying a ticket today, along with my Epcot pass. I am weird like that, I prefer to have passes in hand before I go. I also noticed that prices are higher if they are purchsed at the gate rather than online.

I thought I saw somewhere that tickets were not allowed to be pre-purchased at a reduced rate for that night

Where are you buying the ticket from

Maybe I can pre-order some for us too. I would like to meet up with you guys and hang out for a bit on Friday night too.

I wouldn't trust having them delivered to me so close to my leaving date but I suppose I could pick them up at will call.

I have a question though. The tickets you purchase in advance MUST be used on the date they are purchased for? Correct?

I'm just leary of paying all that money and then having something happen to stop us from attending.

I have no idea where we will be before we end up at Epcot for the afternoon meeting with you and the others.

Then we won't have to waste valuable party time on getting food.

This plan just keeps getting better and better...now the plan is,

Fly in thursday, land at 1130, Whispering Canyon Cafe with Betsy's crew for lunch then go check in and hang out at the hotel. We will probably hit DTD our first night.

Friday, Resort day. I wanna relax in their lazy river. By 430 I can get into MK, meet me a couple more TKers and party with the kids. Trip report writers mini meet at the Poly beach by 9pm tho so I won't be staying the whole night.

Saturday, Epcot Food and Wine Festival day! We'll do all the rides we can in FW, I like Test track and Soarin the best. I hope to meet up with whoever is at the park and start hitting the booths for some grub. (Betsy, what time are your ADRs again?) We'll do the countries counter clockwise this time, just opposite of what we did last. 630ish TKer Meet! Beach Club Lobby! I plan to go back into Epcot for Illuminations afterwards, it's my favorite music of the shows.

Sunday, ESPN by 1 to meet Cally and crew for a game and some lunch. We fly home at 845 that night. Do you guys stay for the whole game? We did for an Eagles Giants game one year, 3 full hours later we walked the shops of the boardwalk. I can see Rose and me killing some time shopping there before we heading out.

Not bad for a long weekend, I plan on getting Birthday buttons at MK and Epcot each day. Robin and Ann, you two should get buttons too! Lemme know if I should pick them up for you

It's almost time!! I hope ESPN is not crowded! We usually stay for the whole game. Towards 3rd 4th quarter the kids and I get bored and that's when we get up and walk around the shops on the boardwalk

Yes you can preorder, it comes directly from Disneyworld.com. (They advertise that tickets are cheaper if prepurchased.)

Yes, we can most likely use will call. I will check for you tomorrow if they are for a specific day only, I should've known I'd be busy at work today-never had a chance to buy mine so that's been pushed to tomorrow.

We need two hours, one hour to get there and get thru security check and another hour to unwind/read/DIS before we fly home. I like to be early for Airplane rides.

Colleen, we don't get to Orlando until 11:27 am on Friday.

By the time we get our rental car and our hotel room sorted out I couldn't guarantee what time we would be available

I'm checking into the MNSSHP tickets right now.

There is no advance price discount for that evening but I think I might preorder the tickets anyway, so that I know that we can get into the party.

2 of my daughters are October. The other is December. DH and I are both January.

TWB~ THe MNSSHP is a ticket that is good only for one specific night. If you know you are going I'd by them in advance if it is still free dining while you're there. We went last Sept 29. It was a Friday during F&W, and free dining so it sold out. Still didn't seem crowded to me. Others said it was packed that night. BUt we always go left after MAin Street and most people go right. We didn't have any lines at all.

I have a picture of the castle just before dusk on the Photography contest thread from last week, in group 3. THis week's contest is Main Street photos and someone posted a nice picture of Main Street at night during MNSSHP. I didn't have a good enough camera to get a good night shot last year. I would definitely do MNSSHP again. I just reccomend taking it easy during the day so you can make it through the night! THe parade is great!

Sometimes if we are in the park when it first opens we will go straight to the back.

Keeps you ahead of the major crowds for most of the morning anyways.

After awhile it all evens out but every little bit helps.

We do that too! IF we are there for rope drop (or even better breakfast before park opening) we go to fantasyland. We like alot of the rides there, but if you wait til 10:00am you could be in line forever. Last summer we had breakfast in the castle at 8:00 and my daughter went on Dumbo twice before there was a line. Park opened just as we got out of breakfast so she got to go on while most people were making there way up mainstreet!

We have ADRs at the plaza for the night of MNSSHP...I think its for 5somthing....
Maybe we can meet up around 6ish..outside, by the outdoor tables next to the Plaza rest.

I am sooo glad you got your tickets Robin,...I have heard that they dont normally sell out ..but Ya just never know...and as PD said it may, because of the other things going on...

They have a mass at the"Mary queen of the universe shrine" We will still have to find it when we get there...Its suppose to be the closest, RC church to the world....Its at 8300 Vineland Ave...In Orlando..From the map we got off of the net, it looks pretty easy to get to..
