Du, mom says it was hot, she loves floridas heat...shell be living there and working for Walt in the next 5 years.

She found a picture of Elton at pop century and asked me if that really looked like you du, of course I said absolutely!

She's gonna upload her trip photos for me cause I wanted to post some of them here.

She hated the food court at pop, she ate at shades of green every night. She liked the hotel, even decorated her room window. Mom did a 3 park backstage tour. It sounds intriguing, she said her room was in the 50s section, parking lot view. She, believe it or not, likes the backside...says there is less foot traffic back there, much quieter.

I am back on my blackberry, busy day at work. My computer worked long enough last night for me to get two more chapters in on my trip report. Du, not much longer and ill be finished it

100 degrees @ Midnight!!!!!

Gotta say the POP food court didnt do it for me either this time. They can't either 1) Cant handle a full house or 2) Need to seriously hire more people (...and if they spoke a little english would be nice)! I found myself saying 'Whhhhaaaaaaaaaaaaah???????" ALOT!

Twice we had lunch there, and BOTH time ran out of Pizza! How can you run out of Pizza at noon when your resort is booked to capacity!

And on one night they ran out of FORKS...and while the hords of people are scrounging looking for them...all the workers were doing the Hustle!!!!!!! I thought that was really bad.

It was almost as if they werent expecting anybody! Also I didnt see one clean table while I was there. In fact one am, we sat down to a filthy table...and I cleaned it off. Once I sat down I noticed 3 cleaning CM's just standing off to the side having a very private funny conversation.

Me thinks they may have new management. Much different then the other times I been there. Wasnt too crazy about tMousekeeping this time either. I had to pull the nightstand from the wall to plug a mini fan in!

My computer worked long enough last night for me to get two more chapters in on my trip report. Du, not much longer and ill be finished it !

The Monsters Laugh Floor Story

Me & James went to see this for the first time. The first two Monster comedians up was a 2 headed Monster called Mac & Jeeves (cute). Mac head had a Scottish brogue & Jeeves a British accent. For those of you who haven’t been there yet these are interactive cartoons. Like in Turtle talk with Crush.

Sidenote: Since we went to the Monsters Laugh Floor as few times…..it’s not always the same Monster comedians.

So they have this big TV screen and pick people out of the audience for various interactivities. Guess who the first one up was??? James!!!!

Mac & Jeeves asked him his name, and a CM was standing right next to him with a microphone.

As he placed his mouth right on the microphone (yuk!) he answered “JAMES” and it came out very loud & muffled!

Then Mac & Jeeves asked him where is he from.

“East Stroudsburg”, again loud & muffled!

Then Mac said in his very Scottish brogue “ OOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHH YES! East Stroudsburg, I know it well! That’s where they have Ice Bergs! Penguins and the EIFFEL TOWER!!!!!

Then James not getting the joke, took the microphone and adamantly & sincerely said "NO, NO I don’t live in New York!!!!!”

Needless to say the audience roared!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mac & Jeeves just stood there with there jaws open

for a few seconds…then screamed …NEXT!”

I told James that ONLY he can make cartoon characters do this…..

LAUNDRY STORY!

By Wednesday we ran out of every piece of clothes I brought down....at least 3 shirts & 2 pair of shorts a day! So late late late Wednesday night I HAD to do laundry.
I started after 1am....about 3:00am it was all done. There was this young guy hanging out around the pool. I thought he stood out since he didnt have a bathing suit on!
He was on his cell phone everytime I saw him....usually at the Designated Smoking Section (which are a HUGE JOKE). At 3:00am I went in the LR to get my dried clothes (4 dryer loads full (i mean everything was sopping) I used my room key (did you know the lights go off in the middle of the night @ the laundry rooms...UNTIL you enter then they go back on)...anyhow he slips in the door behind me.

Now I am thinkin I am gonna get mugged in the PC 80's laundry room. But the jokes on him...all he would get is my room key & some smooched cigarettes.

However he used the phone & called a room there. So here is the story. While I was folding clothes (very slowly) the gist of the conversation was that he met a woman (staying @ the POP) who was travelling alone with her kids. Evidently he worked in Luggage services....and when she arrived a few days ago they fell insantly in 'love".

WDW is a magical place!

Now what was real weird was he was asking her ....."What will you make me for breakfest after a passionate night" :bbbat: Her answer was Eggs Benedict! And most of their conversation was how to make Eggs bendict (@3:00am).amoungst other culinary dishes! Very Very very Bizarre conversation that I listened in on!

I thought I posted a nice long post this morning, but I guess it didnt take...I was running late and just pushed post...and ran...Oh well..

In a nut shell I said....
DU, did you learn how to make eggs benidict, while you were doing your Gladys Cravits imitation again?.....
and How...can you be up soooo late doing laundry and get up the next morning and be worth anything..????If it were me I would have fallen asleep in the Laundry room ...or if I DID stay awake ...Id have as much energy as a wet washcloth the next day....YOU are SUPER UNC!

Im gladf you liked the LFC show...I had heard that it was not so great ..but that was when it first opened...It looks like they must have done some tweeking...

Too bad about the POP....lets hope it was just a bad week for them...and it doesnt turn in to the norm....

I am soooo excited that you will be spending the night at WDW...!!!
Will you wander around the food and wine fest with us?....I am soo looking forward to that, as I have been wanting to check it out from the first Ive heard about it, but have never been to the world in Sept....So when I found out it was going to be on while we were there...I made plans to spend the whole day there....This will be "my" day....and We have told the boys that they get to plan the last day(the 30th)...to go back to any place they liked the best...Iam still looking to see if I can get a table for six at LeCellier....Ya never know, there may be a cancelation ..Its worth a few phone calls...its a 1-800 number after all....

I am what you call a military brat...Mom and Dad were both Navy when sis and me were born. Mom switched to Army later and did her 25 years with them.

Mom has duly earned use of SOG.

She stayed there with my niece just 3 weeks before this last trip. She chose Pop for the August trip cause DCL send her a coupon code for $59 a night~

I just priced out flights from Monterey to LA area for my 10/05-10/07 DL trip - only $59 each way. that would be great...it's only a 5-hour drive...but 10 hours of driving on a 48 hour trip.....is TOO much driving

Mom is a castaway club and AP member. Castaway club is for repeat Disney cruisers. Next December will be her third.

Its cool, I brought mom to disney with my girl scout troop in 1999 and moms been doin multiple Disney trips every year since. As a matter of fact, I took her in October and she had November booked by the time she got home! I literally created a Disney monster.
