Hi Threadkillers!

I'm sorry I've been off-line for so long. All is well here - many thanks to Robin for posting. I'm busy cooking for tomorrow's Christmas Eve dinner. My 3rd dessert is in the oven.

Tom and I spent most of the day at the Jacksonville Jaguars Football game - what a good time! It was an early Christmas present from one of the kids.

I've had a crazy month - it's been nice, but has left me with very little free time and I've missed ya'll!

I hope you're having a great day and I hope to post more often now!

Missing you ~ Ann

WHEW! Been way too bizze!

The Nurse came today for Mom!:thumbsup2
However no one called to come back tommorrow!:headache:
Drove mackenzie home today, james came too. The PLAN was he was to come back with me, then go home with my sister (his Grandmother) to his house on Christmas eve.
Then my sister would stay over and be their Christmas Mornin...then everyone will come here on Christmas day.
However my Sisters car dies (AGAIN) today. I think its the transmission.
Sooooooooooooooo this all happened on my drive down. So James had to stay home. I just cant make another 180 miles round trip tommorrow.:sad2:

He was peeved & sad. He dont want to be home at all. Let face it...THE FUN IS HERE! The whole house is decorated etc. My neice just has the tree up.....THATS IT (not decorated...etc) James mom is not in a rush to get anything done...or even bother to make it sorta nice for the kids!:rolleyes1

I told james not to worry! Once Santa visits all will be forgotten!:thumbsup2

They didn't even watch the whole thing. They didn't get to the good parts! They were saying it was boring. :confused3

:guilty:

I have it saved on the DVR tho and I will play it again!!!!!!!:snooty: :snooty:

:scared1: They NEVER saw MARY POPPINS BEFORE????

Thats on my ALL TIME FAVORITE movie list!  In the "olden" days when James was little that too was his favorite. This was pre DVD. So we went through 5 copies of VHS. He use to waer it out all the time. In fact he had to carry the clamshell cover with him....EVERYWHERE! It was ragged and filthy. He called it his 'cober" (instead of cover) . God forbid he loose it. He get all panicay and say "My Cober MY Cober!"

Step in time!

It's extremely cold and windy here right now. brrrrrr.

So much for the snow melting.

I don't think any more will melt with this kind of weather.

Had a good dinner at my mom's house today.

Seems like the amount of kids has tripled for some reason:confused3

Must be because of all those boyfriend/girlfriends that are no starting to show up.

Oh well, we ate well and had a good time.

I'm actually starving right now. I should have brought home some leftovers with me:sad2:

I had WInnie 3 days after christmas. That was good timing. Got to have Christmas at home and got to get 3 days rest in the hospotal after Christmas!:thumbsup2 oh yes, we came home late afternoon on December 31, armed with diapers etc from the hospital. Insurance paid for all the hospotal bills...so we got a tax deduction for a child that didn't cost us a cent that year!:thumbsup2

HI Threadkillers!

DU - sounds like you have a LOT on your plate! I hope all goes smoothly and I'm sorry James didn't get to be where the fun is.

PD - Our son's "little tax deduction" was born on the 30th of December - he's turning 4 this year.

Hi Back Robin & Cally!

Well, I've got the tables set up (my new table that seats 10 isn't big enough, so it will be the buffet table and I have 3 tables in the living room around the tree) and I'm getting ready to get some more cooking done. I'm almost there - just a few last minute dishes and then pop the casseroles in! I tried a new pie for tonight - a Kentucky Bourbon Chocolate Pecan Pie. I also have coconut cream (DH's favorite) and pineapple upside down cake.

Everyone will be here around 8:30 for gift exchange and then we'll eat dinner afterwards then trot off to midnight mass.

Then Christmas day....I relax in my jammies, eat leftovers and don't lift a finger!

Hope ya'll are having a great day!

Sounds like you have your day all mapped out for you.

Take time to stop and enjoy the moment for a bit along the way:thumbsup2

Hey Ann, sounds like you have a very busy day too. Enjoy your time with your family. I'm pretty sure that they will be enjoying their meal at your house.

Today, I'm just doing some laundry and general cleaning and getting ready for tomorrow.

We are having Christmas dinner here this year about 10 people.

I'm not being really paranoid about how clean and neat the house is. I figure ... why bother... then they will expect it all the time.

My kidney stones are acting up today. I don't have the time nor inclination to deal with it today. Not really any pain at all just passing some blood, which tells me it is on the move:confused3 Yeah, I know.... way too much information :rotfl2:

Although I had that ultrasound last week and she told me she didn't see any kidney stones in there right now. I'm going on my own "gut" feeling and I pretty much KNOW there is one and it has been there a long time already.

Anyways, the dryer just buzzed so I'm off. :laundy:

Have a wonderful day.

Be back later to watch out for Santa :teeth:

:dance3:

One month from tomorrow we are leaving to Florida

:dance3:

Good morning fellow TKers:wave:

Sorry I have not been on...
I have been a very busy girl!:car:.
My sister came and got my mother:teeth:...and I have been hopping since...

The recipes:

Breakfast Casserole Recipe Courtesy of Emeril Lagasse
Show: The Essence of Emeril
Episode: Eggs

6 eggs
1 cup half and half
2 tablespoons green onions, chopped
Salt and pepper
Butter to grease pan
6 slices of Texas Toast (thick cut, crusty white bread)
1 pound spicy pork sausage, cooked and drained of fat
1 cup grated Cheddar cheese

In a small bowl, beat the eggs until they loosen up. Add the half and half, and green onions. Mix well, highly season with salt and pepper and set aside.
Butter a 12 by 10-inch baking pan. Line the pan with the bread, cutting and rearranging, if needed. Sprinkle the bread with the cooked sausage and cheese. Pour the egg mixture over the entire pan. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cook covered for 25 to 30 minutes or until the egg mixture is set.

I will go get the frenchtoast one now....:teleport:
