Morning everyone.
AWW poor Kim, I hope you feel better soon. I am sniffling and sneezing myself but no fever or chills. Mine is probably more allergy related than anything else.
Dalpal, how lucky you are to have all of those lovely little granddaughters. Maybe if I let MY daughter live past those teenage years I too will have some granddaughters.
She wanted to have a "nap" at 7 pm last night and asked me to wake her up if her boyfriend called or came by. As he did neither, I didn't wake her up and she slept until this morning. So of course I was in trouble for not getting her up to take her medicine and take out her contacts for the night. I knew if I woke her up she would be up until all hours of the morning, so I left her sleeping.
Bad, bad, mommy 
Every year at this time our city has what is called The Faire at the Forkes or Heritage Days. It is an old time fair depicting life in 1812, during the War of 1812. It is a pretty big affair with re-enactors coming from as far away as Pennsylvania, Ohio etc. to be involved. It revolves around the battles that involved the great Shawnee Chief Tecumseh and the battles that were fought with the Americans, British and Canadians and natives in this area. Re-enactors sleep in old style canvas tents on straw, and dress in period costume. They also stage mock battles.
Well, every year the scout troup that my son was involved with runs as food booth and they also feed all of the reenactors breakfast on the weekend. That is well over 300 people to cook breakfast for and takes a lot of work and requires starting quite early in the morning!!!
This was the first year that I have not attended because of our business trip but my kids both went (even though neither is involved in Scouts anymore, they just love Heritage Days!!!)
That is why my daughter was so tired!!

I still feel lousy, but better than Saturday! I went to work, and stayed the whole time, and managed all my regular night time chores as well.
Hoping tomorrow will be even better!
I did understand her though, when I asked her what she was going to be for Halloween - - DORA! 
, is putting it lightly. With all the praises about DD's reading, and the 2nd grade reading assignments she's doing at home, the teacher adds that DD needs to try to stay focused more, as she sometimes has a hard time. NO KIDDING!!! If YOU were being taught something you already know, day after day, wouldn't you be un-focused as well? Maybe BORED?!?!?! HELLLOOOO!!! I can't help but feel that 5 weeks have been wasted. 
Oh, and she adds, WE need to pick a book (ANOTHER book?!) for DD to do a book report on! "See me" Now, I go IN the room EVERY morning, did she miss me? vent over 
. I hope my scratchy throat won't stop me from getting some rest.
