Who feels like a Thread-Killer? Part 2

they didn't happen to mention if they juggled anything did they?

which brings me to....

Theory #2....

Failing to see a nametag with "Ernie" on it....and to save time...

Cruisin' :boat: & HollyAnn started tossing whatever was handy at CMs to see if

a) the CM could catch

b) The CM could juggle

c) the CM was ornery enough to toss whatever back at them

d) the 2 of them are incorrigible flirts

or

e) all of the above....

I think I'm gettng close.....

:) Brer_Papa

The thread was getting sleepy so thought i would keep it company. Is everyone in bed yet?

Nope, but my computer is acting very bad lately. Already tonight, I have defragged, restarted, disconnected and reconnected, and within a few minutes, it starts acting badly again. Figures the shipping of the Dream Desk PC was delayed. I MAY be without a 'puter this weekend, depending on this old relic. :(

Hi SnowAngel! :wave2:

Nope....not in bed.....bopping here and there.....

I saw your other thread yesterday....how are things going for you today?

Best wishes.....

Heya Kim!

Uh oh....there's a lot of truth to this ~~~~> :badpc: Tap it gently with a hammer....spray some WD-40 on it......

if that doesn't do it....hit it harder....the worst that can happen is :charac2: playing "Taps" over the :badpc: .....

PSSSST! Hey Lurkers!

If any of you have any better  's on 'puter repair....speak up....

we don't bite....

:badpc: :badpc: :badpc: That, and a few expletives have been my course of action so far.....Like I said, I MAY be without a 'puter this weekend.........think it's the expletives causing the problem????

The expletives should have fixed it!

A light bulb burned out on me in the basement one time....i hurled an expletive at it and the light came back on....

PA says it was just loose....

I say "PSHAW!" ....if someone called me what I called it...i would have been burning bright too....

:hint: ya might have to use something a bit stronger than "darn you" to it for the expletive to take.....:/hint:

Want me to go stand outside....face west...and yell "blankety-blank" at it from here?

Hmmmmmmm, lemme think............that IS the way my satellite dish is facing, kinda, southwest tho. Heck, give it a try, it can't hurt, right?...........RIGHT?...............RIGHT? ;)

 :badpc: :badpc: :badpc:

Some curtains fluttered when I got to "Shazbot!"....

the elderly Lady who peeps towards my windows with her binoculars waved....

a dog howled....

and the couple necking in the car on the side street ducked down....

other than that....typical night living by me...

expletives on the way..... :)

Thanks Brer_Papa.. things going the same. Had meeting today. I seen people get off with more than I did (missing appointments) and not get in as much trouble as I do. Propably since supervisor dislikes me. It's okay. It's mutal I feel like :p him everytime I see him.
I scared them when I told them have a good day :teeth: Sorry but I'm a naturally well-mannered person, I say it automatically.

Okay there's my vent for the night

Is everyone is bed yet? :) I should be but insomnia and I are company tonight.

Good morning Dis people!
It looks like another nice day here in Northern Pa. Although I cant see my pond because of the fog........but I can see there is a sun out there and Im sure it will do its job and burn off this fog later in the am.
Until then I have to go do my chores....Feed the beasts(horses), put the dogs outside...
Get my dear mother breakfast(shes 80+)..........
So Ill be back later to give more of my time to killing this thread.
Talk to ya in a bit!;)
Betsy

Good Morning DalPal!

Yes! A beautiful day in northern PA! We didn't get the fog though! Sun s shining :sunny: ....warm breeze :cloud9: ....

I am foot loose and fancy free today too!

Maybe I'll go put a worm in the water and see if any fish are interested..... :fish:

Hi SnowAngel! :wave2:

Well....i do know some things in regard to discipline/discharge....

No matter where you are employed....discipline/discharge cannot be issued in a discriminatory or a capricious manner....

that, depending on the severity of the occurence....the discipline should be consistently applied....

there is an allowance for what is called "mitigating circumstances"" i.e. length of service....past record...

so....you may want to delve into past issuances of same or similar infractions...compare those with your length of service....past records....

plus...if there is a "history of bad blood" between you and your supervisors
and you can document those....it may help you....

if this is so...you may find redress through filing an EEOC or Human Relations charge...or both

one other thing....in some states...like PA....there is an allowance to be elgiblefor unemployment even if your seperation from employment was a discharge...

under 4.02 (e) of the PA law....you are eligible if your conduct was not one of willful misconduct.....

any questions...PM me...or state them here....hope I can help in some way....

PSSST! Hey Lurkers!

Put your eyes back in their sockets....and pick you jaws up off the floor...

ETA: (and to correct typos....)

I hope Kim got the gremlins from her 'puter.....and she is with us this weekend....

oh....the elderly Lady is still waving....i think she has her binoculars on a tripod.....

Hello Threadkillers!

I'm baaaack! Had a wonderful time with Cruisin - what an absolutely delightful woman! I had SUCH a great time meeting her. I hope we have the opportunity to do this again. She was loads of fun!

Her husband was a great sport - when Cruisin told us (many pages ago) about them manufacturing custom car parts - it piqued mine & Tom's interest. I grilled him on his business....poor man, I hope we didn't scare him away!

The weather was beautiful and there were NO lines or crowds. We got to ride everything we wanted to. Didn't see Ernie - here's my theory:

BrerPapa, you didn't tell us where he was working, so I'm guessing you didn't want him to know about your "harem" here at Threadkillers. Cruisin and I discussed re-naming the thread from "Threadkillers" to BrerPapa & his cyber harem!

Kim & Wendy, it was so wonderful speaking to you! I told Cruisin (Robin) that you both had very, very musical voices....do either of you sing? It was very exciting -made my day!

Robin and I discussed the possibility of (if the threadkillers are around long enough) doing a January Threadkillers Cruise around 2007. That gives everyone plenty of time to save $$$ and arrange it. What do ya'll think? I'd love to do it earlier, but I'm in the save $$$ category!

We didn't do any juggling, but had a lovely lunch. BrerPapa, we rode Splash Mountain and talked about you during the ride. Not during the line - because it was SO short! We went to our laughing place and got WET! I also purchased my very first Turkey Leg. What fun that was. We sat in rockers for about an hour in Frontier Land and watched people go by eating turkey. Then we saw the Golden Horsehoe review folks square dancing. As we were watching, one of the cast members noticed my Birthday button and pulled me out to do the Hokey-Pokey with them. Guess what?............I LOVE the hokey pokey!

We also saw for the first time, Philharmagic. Wow! What an amazing show! I think that was our favorite.Anyway, it was a long, magic-filled day. We arrived safe & sound and picked up Hollydog this morning from my folks house.

Well, it's nap time, so I'll chat with ya'll later! Take care and have a great day!

ETA: Oops! I put 2006, but 2007 was what we were talking about. Do you think the Threadkillers can hang on long enough?

Hi all!:wave2:

It sounds like you guys are having fun Hollyann.

Brer_Paper, I may send you a PM later.

How's everyone else's day going?

WOW!!!!

Hello HollyAnn!

(I hope Ozzie took Ricky and David to Disneyland.....he had the time....he had no job!)

Wow! You guys had a fantasmic time!!!

Cool.... :cool1: ....very very cool!

Just thinking about riding Splash Mountain brings a smile to my face....knowing you & Cruisin' :boat: rode it and enjoyed it makes even a better & bigger smile....

Philharmagic is breath-taking huh? What wonderful animation....tremendous music....a barrel of fun!

I saw an ad on the "Home on the Range" DVD about a Christmas DVD to be released this year....as soon as I saw it I started shouting ~~> "Like Philharmagic!"....I'm looking forward to it....a lot...

YUM!! Turkey legs! Skeeeeeee-rumptious!

Seems like a relaxing time....rocking and gnawing and watching the WDW guests go by... :cloud9:

Ernie knows all about my friends on the Thread-Killers thread....I talk about you more than you know....every one of you...
even the Lurkers....and yes...you there...the Lady in the curlers....you too....

You probably didn't see him because he didn't go in 'til 3....and he was working in the Utiladoor....maybe next time....

Harem? ...let me ask you guys what you've asked yourself a few hundred times about PA..."How does she put up with him?"

If you know the answer....PM both of us! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

burning question: Did you see "WISHES"?

a moment of memory.....aaaah....I have had so much FUN every time I've seen it...singing...dancing....laughing....ooohing & aaaahing....

The Cruise idea  is superb!
We've only taken the one....but would do it again in a heartbeat....count us in....

Good thing there's plenty of time for all of you to think about it....stuck with me on a boat....out to sea....no where to run....no where to hide....too far to swim back....

brings a song to mind...with certain liberties taken of course...

Jugglin' in the morning...
jugglin' in the evening....
jugglin' at suppertime...

I'll be your happy juggler...
I'll juggle all the time....

aaaah....what a happy post to a happy post this is....truly.... :) :)

Hollynnn....thank you so much for the update....speaking for me....but with a feeling I'm speaking for others....I'm so glad and happy that you & Cruisin' :boat: had such a wonderful time...

Gladdens my heart to just read the happiness in your post...and places a yearning that someday I may have the honor and privilege of meeting all of you..

as 2 wise Ladies said yesterday.......(who are G-R-E-A-T friends-o-mine) "I wish I was there"

Hey SnowAngel! :wave2:

:) the invite to PM is always open....anytime...hope i can help....

PSST! Hey Lurkers!

Whadda ya say? Isn't HollyAnn & Cruisin' :boat: meeting up a fine example of what the DIS board is about?

ayup....i agree....

Oh, Brer Papa - I loved your post! I re-read my post and left you under the impression that the "we" in Splash Mountain & turkey legs was Cruisin & me.....I'm SO sorry - it was Tom an I. Cruisin and her hubby headed over to Epcot after lunch! I'm sorry I left you with the wrong impression. Maybe next trip we'll get the opportunity to spend the whole day together!

Since this was the first time I'd gotten my hubby to anything Disney in a decade - I wanted to spend alone time with him. It was nice to spend some quiet, romantic time at the park. BTW, tomorrow is our anniversary. We actually have two anniversaries.........yup.......I married him twice!

I can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to a Cruise with Cruisin and the rest of the threadkillers gang. Hey....maybe if you juggle infront of the right people, Disney will hire you as entertainment - or at least pay for your cruise!

Sorry we missed Ernie. I think the "secret harem" theory was more romantic then "his shift started at three"!

So glad you're "in" for the cruise. I know DH and I would love to meet you and meet Princess Ariel. I think anyone who goes is in for a GOOD time!

Well, ya'll take care, I'm watching TV and reading with hubby. He's soooo cute!

HAPPY ANNIVERsARY TOM & HOLLYANN!!

I'm glad you told us....I hope you and Tom have a fun-filled romantic day!

Same day as PA's Birthday too....

Aaaaah....don't worry abut any misunderstanding....it still sounds like a wonderful time....and those turkey legs....YUM!

even the Grandkids rib me about my "habit" of munching and gnawing turkey legs when we're @ WDW.... :) :)

 OK...I thnk the harem theory was romantic too...

Aaaaah....Cruisin' :boat: and her hubby went to EPCOT? The turkey leg stand is over by Test Track!

Hope they found it....

You know....not only have PA & I discussed the possibilty of working @ WDW after I retire....Ernie has mentioned it to me too....

I respond...I'm not retiring from one job to work at another....

PA says she would though....that's up to her....

I'll go play in one of the parks....

oh well...who knows....retirement is still a few years away.....

I actually considered going to work for WDW when hubby retired. However, Jacksonville feels more like home - so we moved here.
