Scrapbooks....that's where the ribbons go....besides....the ribbons are harder to juggle than shoelaces....

so is the blackberry jam WS made....YUM!
now....don't shoot me....but WS canned some pickles...dill pickles....
as she usually does....she brings me a jar of what she cans (FREE FOOD!)...
and waits expectantly while i give it a taste...
so...i uncaps the jar of pickles...fish one out....give it a taste...
and I break out into a one man show of Barney Fife & Andy Griffith on my favorite episode...."The Pickles"
At first...I think WS was mortified...but she was howling by the time i finished...
If you haven't seen that particular episdoe...try to keep an eye out for it...it's hilarious....and I've seen it so often....I know ALL the good lines...
I played Barney. Andy, Aunt Bee, the 2 judges at the fair and Mizz Johnson...
btw...her pickles were very good....and i did tell her so....

Good morning gang!! Seems like we had a lively night last night.
KimRaye, 10:30 or 11 is staying up late for me! I guess I'll never make santa's team at this rate! I was sorta' hoping that you guys would be vampires though...I find them a little more sexy and intriguing!

Cruisin'....thank you for the report on CC Cat! I can't believe the poor thing would be skinny with all the food around that place! Any idea how it got there to begin with? I thought maybe it was one of the cm's but now I'm not so sure. Do you think I can smuggle it on board next time I'm there? I cancelled a back to back Wonder cruise in favor of a 10 day RCI cruise out of Balitmore next summer. I hope I don't regret it! Maybe when the 2006 DCL dates come out I'll have to schedule a cruise.

Luckymommy, I have been to Castaway Cay 5 times now and only seen the cat once. It didn't seem all that interested in people. Just kind of sat there and looked at me. I didn't really want to touch it, cause I wasn't sure if I should. I have no idea how it got there. That would be a good question to ask someone
. People do come from other islands to work at Castaway Cay when the ships are there so it could have been brought over by one of them I suppose. Or it could belong to a CM??

I walked, went to b'fast, did some shopping, had lunch and I'm getting ready to change into some grubby's to help with the yard work!

Went to the Albion Fair....had a nice Chicken dinner....
I got dragged to B-I-N-G-O...benefits the yearbook...
we got there while a game was in progress...so....i started juggling B-I-N-G-O cards...
PA says...."why are you doing that?"
i says "because they don't have post-its telling me I can't"
she didnt say aonther word for the next umpteen games....until when she yelled B-I-N-G-O.....
then we went up to the Home Building....everything is displayed nice...there are cards with the name of the person that had enetered the them ...and the ribbons that were won....
PA did quite well...
in fact, more than a few stopped us as we walked around the fair to congatuate her....it was cool...
we had a pleasant evening....we like going to fairs....but Albion is the last one for the year....

Hi everyone!
I ended up getting out of yard work. Hubby decided he was done for the day. We're digging a second french drain for the yard. The one we have works SO well, we end up draining half our neighbors yard, too. So we decided another one on the other side of the house will work especially well during next hurricane season. We decided NOW was the time to get ready for the 05 hurricane season....let's hope Jeanne leaves us alone! Did you hear there is a tropical depression #12 out there, too? Ugh!
Anyway, we got in the house, showered and decided that (yep...you guessed it!) it was NAP time! Took a lovely nap, woke up - gave the doggie a bath and made a scrumptious dinner! We've read books and watch a few programs and we're thinking of reading before bed.
I imagine to many our life is boring, but it does have a wonderful sameness to it. It's relaxing and I get to be with hubby!
Tomorrow after walking, I'm volunteering (up to 3 days a week til election). Next week, hubby and I will be registering voters. I'm very excited about that. Such an important thing - voting. Anyway, I'm sure that's for another thread!
Anyway, after volunteering, I'm gonna spiff up the house cause my sister's coming! The one in Panama City is going to look at more property here. She and family & home did beautifully during Hurricane Ivan. They are actually inland - Panama City is the largest city closest to them (like I'm from Jacksonville - but 30 miles away). Fortunately, they didn't even lose power, but my heart aches for all the people lost and who lost homes and property. This hurricane season has been BAD. It's also the main topic of discussion of ANYONE who lives in Florida - can you tell?
Ya'll have a great evening. I'm going to read with hubby!
