If I remember right....broasted chicken is seasoned...then deep fried in a pressure cooker...

Pigs wings huh. Well isn't there a saying about ........when pigs fly :p

I don't even try to keep my husband's hours Hollyann. I don't want to go to bed at 9 every night. Everyone else in the house is a night owl except him.

Yes, Wendy I was at the London DIS meet in March at Tiger Jack's

I enjoyed it a lot. I meet a lot of nice people there.

PA & I wen to an "Off Kilter" performance at a local University in April 2003...

the next day...there was a thread posted...and replied to...by a large number of DIS-ers who attended...

nobody came up to us though....i figured I was easy to spot.....

I was wearing a Disney hawaiian type shirt...

lots and lots of Mickeys...with lots and lots of the 4 theme park symbols...

Well, Tom is especially cute, and he usually goes to bed around 11......annie follows!

London DIS meet - was that actually in London? How cool!

When I went down last year, I actually met a DISer on the plane from Baltimore....he's mostly a lurker he said.

The Cheers theme seems fitting after a DIS Meet. Since we had a newbie attending the Meet tonight, all she really knew about us were our names, and screen names at that. So, everyone knows your name, seemed apropos. She fit right in, too, her and her family. Nice people. :sunny:

My first DIS Meet was in May, 2001. If I counted correctly, I've been to 19!! OMGosh, I didn't realize it was that many!!! :faint: :earseek:

That's too bad that you didn't get to meet any of the Disers BP.

Maybe they thought you were Santa in disguise ;) Too bad you didn't know in advance that all of those people were going to be there.

Maybe we need to always wear our DIS identification, in case we meet up with other disers unexpectedly.

That was London, Ontario Ann, not too exciting a place really;)

Aw come on Wendy the night is still young:bounce:

It is a little scary walking into a DIS meet all by yourself and meeting people that you don't really know at all.

The DIS meet I went to was attended by people who post a lot on the Canadian board and not so much here. So I really didn't know them all that well either and I went alone. Drove 1 1/2 hours, it is great now though because when I see those people's posts I know them:D

The Chicago DIS meets seem to be well attended Kim, at least judging by the pictures that I have seen Dan post. They look like great fun.

Well, it sounded exciting to me! Nice that they had one. To be honest, I tend to post on a few threads and don't wander or lurk too often. I did read about a meet that was in Atlanta when I first joined, but I wasn't prepared to go at that time. I told hubby maybe next year.

I'm currently reading on how to post a picture, but it's a lot to learn and the board/test post place is down for mainenance. I keep reading it, but it's still not making sense. Are you supposed to read it backwards, kind of like an LP playing backwards has a secret message?

Gosh Ann, I don't know.

Dan Murphy helped me post a picture of my cats once. Actually my daughter did most of the work for me.

He had me save the picture to something called I think imagestation.com ??? And then you can follow the directions on the tech board, I think. I am not much help there. I should learn how to do it too so I can post some pictures.

You should try a DIS meet if there is one near you. You would probably enjoy it. Maybe if one of us makes it to Florida you can start with a mini DIS meet to sort of ease into it.

You're right Robin, the first meet, walking in, to meet some people you've never seen before (maybe you've seen a picture or 2, but that's it), is VERY scary, but after the initial few minutes, it's all just a big gab-fest party! :chat:

I was sooooo intimidated by Dan Murphy my first meet, that I kinda lurked, literally, before entering the room. Thankfully, I recognized PatrickIL (from pictures he posted, and we PM'd before the Meet), and it was his 1st meet also, so we lurked together. :o

I think the ONLY thing that makes the Chicago Meets so popular, is having the 'Mayor', Dan Murphy, present at the majority of them. He's a charmer. :goodvibes

Cruisin, I checked the tech board and the imagestation thingy was down for mainenance. I'll keep trying!

Kim, I read on the meet board about your DISmeet. Yeah, they sound like a lot of fun. If you're ever driving to WDW, I'm about 10 miles off of I-95 just before Jacksonville. Gotta hit I-95 before you can get to I-4!

Mammaduck & BrerPapa - did ya'll fall asleep? BTW, BrerPapa, you never did tell us a story......

A couple years ago, I finally learned the posting picture thingy, and then the DIS stopped allowing it. I was so bummed. And now, they have the separate board, but it's down so much, I never re-taught myself. So, I'm no help either. :o :(
