Oh Robin, this is so terribly sad, and so shocking, almost unbelievable. :( Thank you for linking the thread, I have not been able to catch up on the CB since I've returned.

She will be missed. :(

Wow! What a shock. Yes, Robin, thank you so much for linking the posts....I wouldn't have known otherwise.

I hadn't posted today and was here to be cheerful, but it's hard to think chipper thoughts after hearing about Montisorri. However, her obit said she had "gone home to Disney" and I think she would appreciate the love for her on this board.

I just returned from Bunco tonight. It was tons of fun. Earlier, I did some shopping with DD. Momajoan, my mother volunteers at the hospital and yes, she's a pink lady. I do volunteer work at my local political party's headquarters. I think after the election, I may do hospital work, but for right now, I'm occupied with this. I've just started, but I find that I enjoy donating my time. I'm richly blessed in life and my mother said, if you're blessed, you MUST give back. I guess it's time I started!

Hubby and I are going to go walking in the morning, go out for breakfast and I think he's going to the range and I'll get some housework done. Not my favorite, but it has to be done. Then I can crank out the Christmas tunes. Yeah, I listen to Christmas music all year long. Here's my theory: if Christmas music makes you happy during the holidays - why not listen to it all year long?

Ya'll take care. Once again, it's almost eleven and I'm back on this board! Chat with you tomorrow! Ann

What a shock! So sad....

I saw the thread on my way to find this one....

Ahoy Cruisin' ! :boat: Hi Kim!

well....I am at a loss for words....

She will be missed...as you guys said...her cheery posts started a day off good....

I am praying for her..and her family....

what a shock....

Hi BrerPapa, I saw you posted right after me on the memorium page. It's so sad to lose such a cheerful presence. Especially for you right after your father-in-law.

I know her family will find great comfort in all the prayers and love coming their way. I guess that's the best anyone can do.

Like all of the threadkillers, I will miss her fabulous clip-art. Where did she find them? I guess we'll never know...........

Ya'll take care. It won't be just Monetsorri in my prayers, but everyone in the Threadkillers family.

Good night, my dear friends.

Hello HollyAnn! :wave2:
(Can't you just close your eyes and hear Ricky singing "Silent Night"?
My favorite Yultide song is "O Night"....have you ever heard Martina McBride or Reba McEntire sing thst song? :goosebumps:)

Slow but sure....you're turning into a night owl.... not that that's a bad thing....

News as shocking as what we learned tonight is very demonstrative of how much I have come to know, like and respect all of you here...it feels like it feels when you lose a best friend...

I wish her family all the strength they will need in the coming day, weekks and months ahead...

so...Thank you HollyAnn for including me in your prayers....all of you will be in mine as well...

Oh Man! I just remembered the card Montessori posted when my DFIL passed...the caption!

OK.... a story....PA stayed with her Mom at her place for a while after her Dad passed....late in the evening of the day before the viewing started....PA called me......her, her Mom and her Sister were talking....they asked me to speak at the service...

and so...i did...for a while too....

anyway....in about these words...this is how I ended....

"In this saddest of times....those we love.....and those that love us....from far and near...lend their support...their love....their sympathies...

Since Ernie's passing, we have received so much from so many....one example is an e-card I received from a friend of mine....(i described the picture & card from Montessori)

and the caption said words to the effect...that heaven has a new Angel....and I know his name...

well, Heaven does have a new Angel...and we know his name....and this Angel loves us...( I see Star crying and I say..)....

Star..Don't cry......Heaven has a new Angel...and we know his name...and most important..<b>HE knows our names...and he loves us...</b>"

I don't believe I told you much about that....and Maybe I should have....especially Montessori...

 Oh Bill, I remember that card now. Those were the sweetest thoughts I had read, and so touching. I'm glad you were able to share those thoughts with all your family. I'm sure montessori would have felt honored to know that you did. And now, I'm sure she knows. ;)

Now, we too, sadly though, know that Heaven has another Angel, and WE know her name.

:sad1: Rest in peace Mary Ann.

Edited to add: I just noticed your new siggie. :smooth: VERY nice!

Bill, what a touching story. Yes I also remember when montessori posted that to you.

She will definitely be missed!!!! And so young too, only 47 years young!

Now that I have dried the tears.............

:wave2: Hollyann. I think that if you like Christmas music listen to it all that you want. I think it has been proven that life is too short, so enjoy it while you can ::yes::

Pretty soon we will have corrupted Hollyann enough that she will be staying up posting with all the rest of us night owls ;)

I know that I have heard it before but it slips my memory at the moment.............. what is a blue moon?

The DIS is filled with wonderful people doing mind-blowing things for each other all the time. It's a great board, imo. ::yes::

:grouphug:

::yes:: Have to agree with you there Kim ::yes::

Lots of great people hanging around on the DIS boards ready to help out in anyway they can.

2 full moons in one month.....in the days of old....the adae was coined that the second monthly moon was rare...hence "once in a blue moon" was coined.....

ahh, thanks, Brer_Papa!!

I thought that was the explanation but I wasn't sure my memory was remembering properly;)

Hi Threadkillers! Hubby and I skipped walking in favor of b'fast - I won $15.00 at Bunco last night and it was just enough! I just returned from shopping with DD. I do my grocery shopping in two batches. That which I buy in bulk and perishables I buy fresh. So, two days of shopping! You wouldn't think it was that hard - it's just me & hubby!

BrerPapa, I loved your sentiment about both Montesorri and your DFIL. I'm willing to bet (more than $15.00) that each of them considered you a rare and valued friend.

Kim & Robin, your words & love for Montesorri are both touching and inspiring. What a great group of people! You two are probably the most considerate people around! You always remember the little things, that turn out to be SO big for the person who posted!

Phil - any word? You've been in my thoughts & prayers! Let us know!

Well, I purchased a stuffed monkey - really kookie looking for our grandson in CA. Hubby leaves in a week. He's really excited. It's been six months since we've kissed his yummy face!

This ain't getting the house cleaning done, so I've got to scoot. I'm rapidly running out of nap time!

Take care ya'll I'm putting on the Christmas tunes!

P.S. I don't remember if it was Kim or Robin who asked about the cutsie-wootsie movie, but the movie was "What a girl wants". Teenage, bubble gum stuff - loved it!

It was me. ;) Is that the one where the teenager discovers and meets her Dad? If so, I saw that one. ::yes::

Okay Kim you moved the thread killers thread on me ;)

I always check my email and it said that Hollyann had posted and the time, so I went looking for the thread. I looked through several times, couldn't find it!!! and then I went back to my email to go to the link for the thread since I couldn't find it. I found that you had "moved" it on me :p

I go to the grocery store as little as possible  . Sometimes I don't go for 3 weeks. Usually when we run out of Pepsi or cat food ;) You can tell the kids to go away, don't bug me but that doesn't work with a cat
