Lurker Sweeper?..........:space:

You goin' somewhere, BrerPapa?

Once upon a time.....in a time still to be....

Brer_Papa pirate: & the Lurkers :thewave: went for a ride in the Lurker-Sweeper....

:space:

well, Sir, they were cruisin' :boat: at a pretty high altitude....when the Navigator reported bright lights below....

pirate: ordered the helmsman to run the vessel silent and invisible....

and pirate: & the crew :thewave: descended for a closer look....

OH NO!

The Presidential Debates!

There they were....podium to podium...

the candidates...in the middle of their debate...

 & :jester:

pirate: instantly ordered that a poll be taken....

all the Lurkers :thewave: voted on the poll...

the results of the poll as follows...

pirate: shouted directions to the helmsman... starboard 2 degrees...steady now....steady Mates...NOW!

with that command....
the Lurker-Sweeper did its job...

:space:

 & :jester:

were sucked up into the Lurker-Sweeper...

the 2 were last seen dining on Squirrel McNuggets....and having a high old time...

so much so...that they both abandoned their quest to be elected...

well Sir, once this was known.... pirate: immediately ordered a new poll...

:thewave: have decided that pirate: is the natural choice!

BRER_PAPA FOR PRESIDENT!!

vote early...vote often....

Most Excellent Story............Mr. President! pirate:

I had a toe question when you first started the toe debate. Actually, it's more of a theory..............you know me!

So, pirate:, when you look at your toe - are you lying on your back, looking up? 'Cause last time you said that you were looking at your toe and noticed the leaves were starting to change...........it was too early for them to fall!

My second question/theory...........when you were laying on your back - looking at your toe - was THAT when you saw the lurker sweeper?

Was THAT when you saw the squirrels and thought.......Gee, I'd like to filet that little guy dredge him in flour and secret spices, then fry him in hot oil. Just for laughs, I'll consume him and try to get all my threadkiller friends think that's yummy!

Now I ask you.....is frying squirrels a Santa like thing to do? A PRESIDENTIAL thing to do?

Santa...............NO
Presidential...............YES!

If you were elected president, would the lurker sweeper be your Air Force One? Can I have a ride?

These and many more questions need answered. Now, don't play politician - give me straight answers!

P.S. Where's Robin & Wendy.....can they come out and play? How 'bout the others? Kevin, zen1, snowangel, dalpal? Where ya hidin'?

aaaaah....HollyAnn....

(I bet Harriet helped David with his leaf science project)

Nope..I sit upright...and all of a sudden....something dawns on me  while I'm looking at my toe....

The Lurker-Sweeper snuck up on me the first time i got abducted....

The Squirrel McNugget recipe....complete with filet instructions and the secret spices.....has been handed down from generation to generation....

they are yummaliscious!

Aftr I'm elected...I'll still use Air Force One for official business...the Lurker-Sweeper is for the TK family and the Lurkers....

and yes...you may have a ride on both!!

I'm goin a-huntin' now......

I'm hunting for a VP.....

qualifications: someone with a good gopher recipe they'll share.....

Hey...i was talking to Ernie....and we got to talking about when we were @ WDW last October....

he told me they are starting up the Halloween festivities.....

one of which is the "Haunted Hayride" at Fort Wilderness....

we had a G-R-E-A=T time on it!

in fact, the Grandkids have talked about it ever since....

it's pretty inexpensive too....

so...if you & Tom go there HollyAnn....and you have the time....take a ride...it's fun!

He also told me how much progress is being made over by the Animal Kingdom...where the Mt Everest Ride is being built...

he says it's HUGE! bigger than the "Tree of Life" and from what he's seen & heard....it's going to be awesome!

plus...i told him about Cruisin' :boat: & HollyAnn :cool1: looking at all the badges....on the mens chests...

after he chuckled at that....he said he would have liked to have met you guys...

we also talked about the folks who were stayig in the Campground when the hurricanes hit....something I had been wondering about....

they were evacuated and put up elsewhere....

seems more than a few trees toppled over there....

anyway....FW is an awesome place....when we go in December....we're going to decorate our spot with a bunch of Christmas lights and stuff...

hmmmm....maybe I should take my Santa suit too....hmmmmmmm

Dang...........there goes my mental image of Santa Clause lying on his back looking at his hairy toes, eating squirrel mcnuggets!

I think me and the snake killer are gonna go to Ft. Wilderness in October! Right now, we're looking at the 12-14th. We're hoping the weather will be perfect. I'm really looking forward to it. Tent camping does have it's own charm.

BTW, thanks for the (future) ride in AF1 and the Lurkersweeper! I don't have any good gopher recipes, but my brother has a recipe for BBQ'ing small dogs (particularly MY small dog).

He always has such a gleam in his eye when he looks at Hollydog. It involves a large stick with a pointed end and a fire. I get indignant every time! However, to annoy him, whenever he's at my folks house, I ALWAYS bring the dog with me to visit.

The snake killer says hello!

 Good evening everyone!!

Seems like there have been some people around here chatting up a storm tonight. It took me awhile just to catch up on all of the goings on!! ;)

My daughter and her boyfriend had the basement earlier tonight and then we had to drive him home about 1 hour round trip!!! Then it was time for dance class, hers not mine. We just got home about 25 minutes ago!

I saw a big RV parked at the POP Century during the hurricane and also a pickup truck with a boat behind it. Neither one is your normal park at Disney Resort type of material, so I wondered if they had come from Fort Wilderness.

Hey Mr. Brer_Papa, ole buddy, ole pal, I would vote for you for President but I am not a citizen and therefore I am not allowed to vote in your country:p

I can just hear some of your campaign promises .................. Squirrel McNuggets for all ::yes:: !!!!!!!!!! .................... toe observation time built into every work day , mandatory !!!!! :teeth:

Smilies for the snake charmer :earseek: :bounce: :goodvibes :faint: :duck: :jumping1: :cool1: :cheer2:

Waaaaahhhh, Ann doesn't love me anymore!

Did you ever notice that the censor filters will filter out a word in a post such as **** and replace it with symbols.

When you go to reply to it you get the proper words back again.

At least that works with PM's. So if it was censored you can still see what was originally written by replying to the message.

Hmmm, interesting. I see that it does not work when replying to a thread. Hmmmm, interesting!!!

I still love ya' KimRaye!!

It's hard to keep up with this thread if I don't visit at least once a day. I've been away more than I've been at home recently and October looks even busier!

Anyone dressing up for Halloween? My kids are trying to figure out what they want to be and will flip flop at least a dozen times right up until that night!

Love fall...the colors and the weather, although it's pretty dreary looking out right now. Hopefully all the flooding has receeded so we can go do our errands today. Everyone stay dry!!

Good Morning everybody:wave:
Well we are getting more rain today here in the NE of Pa. yuck!
I have been very busy the last couple of days. My pond has been overflowing and I have been playing in the mud trying to stop it.
Who thought that at 48 years old I would still be playing in the mud.
I hear its good for the skin.........:teeth:
I think I stopped it from going into my yard though so..........
Mission acomplished!::yes::
Hollyann,
I have a dog that I wish I could roast somtimes:smooth: ....The truth is he is very old and starting to smell and he is driving me nuts(he was my sons dog, but was left behind when he moved out 8 years ago). I feel sorry for him.......but he is healthy except he STINKS and has accidents (never did before he got old)all over my new house.
I keep letting him out ....BUT HE KEEPS COMING BACK. How do you know when it is time to.......You know?
Neither my DH or I can bring ourselves to do it.
That is my saga.....What do you think?.....Everybody says to put him down.(even my son)....But .
Betsy

Betsy, I know what you mean about having old dogs. My guy is 14 (and a larger dog) and started having accidents overnight. I found male dog diapers that wrap around him so I can sleep at night. Before I would hear him walking around at 3am and had to scramble to get up and let him out before he flooded my kitchen. (Thank goodness there's no carpeting to worry about!) He's pretty much blind, stinky, hard of hearing and smelling but he's my baby. I couldn't think of putting him down no matter what anyone said. He's a real lovable sweetheart!! Hopefully when I get old and stinky no one will want to put me down!!!

Hi everyone!

Kim, I'm SO sorry I forgot to list your name. I also forgot Mamajoan, too. I PM'd you about missing mammuduck, but I just realized that I remembered her........Wendy! I'm SO bad at names. You wouldn't believe it!

This morning, DH and I got rocks for part of our yard, to put the shed on. We're going to raise the area up and level it off for the next round of hurricanes - hopefully years from now. Anyway, we got about 3 yards and need more! Shoeveled them ourselves - let me tell you - that's work! We're off to hang signs for our political party - then I think..............no I KNOW we're going to take a nap! We'll have to shower first - I'm a stinky miss!

Well, ya'll take care and we'll 'chat' more later! Ann

Despite my repeated refusals that I didn't want to go to the Mall.....I went....

PA asked me to go to the Mall with her....she wanted to get her hair done....

so....eventually.....i went....

I drive us to the Mall...and in we go....

she says she's going in that place....and she'll call me on my cel when she's done...

so...i star walking around....when see a sale of movie DVD's going on outside of this one store....

"previously previewed" DVD's.....but at a low price....and there were tons of them!

so i start going through them.....and this cashier dude immediately asks me if i need some help....

nope I says.....and then he keeps asking me every minute and a half....

I had enough of his kay-rap.....so I decided to let him help me....

next time he asked...I say "why yes....yes, I could use your help"...

I told him that I am going to juggle 3 movies....and when he says "NOW!"

one DVD will be in my right hand....and that's the movie I'll buy....

he says "You can't juggle movies"

"Oh yes i can...watch!"

and I start jugglng....

he says..."No....I meant you are not allowed to juggle movies"....

I says " Says who? I don't see a 'no movie juggling" sign...."

and he steps in and tries grabbing one....

it crashed to the floor....and then he says..."you'll have to buy that one"

I laughed, grabbed another DVD...started juggling and said..."I don't think so....."

THEN...he says...."If you don't stop....I'll call THE LAW!"

I replied..."Good! Use my cel..it's right there in my shirt pocket..."

so he puts his hand in my pocket...his eyes widened a little when he found out i have a ripple ring.....

and he calls....."THE LAW"....

by now....a crowd is forming....perhaps impressed by my juggling skills.....

anyway, in a few minutes....this GI Joe look-a-like in a blue shirt with "MALL SECURITY" across the chest....pushes his way through the crowd....

"Sir, it's against Mall statues to juggle...."

"you mean "statutes don't you?"
I ask

"Sir...i mean statues....you're not allowed to juggle...."

so I says..."what about the customer is always right statue?"

he says "Sir, we don't have that statue at this Mall"....

"Oh" i say...and continue..."You got any ID? anybody can have a shirt that says MALL SECURITY on it"

he says..."Sir....stop the jugglng...NOW!"

at last!

somebody said "NOW" !!

so i catch all the DVD's...and the one that I had in my right hand is the one I'm going to buy....

well...i had just bent down to pick up the change the crowwd had been throwing at me....when my cel phone rings....

it was PA...she says.."You in the middle of that big crowd?"

i say "Ayup....and I must have made over 30 bux too!"

well...one of us sounded happy....

she said to meet her at Sears when I'm done....

anyway....by the time i got done picking up the money...i decided I didn't want the DVD...so...i left....

but I had 30 bux in change in my pockets....

it was heavy...and it was burning a hole in my pocket....

so...i stopped at a place that makes personalized T-Shirts...and got one that says "CUSTOMER SECURITY" on it....

stopped at the CVS and got a notebook and a pen....and went back to the video store....

I wrote the cashier dude at the DVD place a ticket for shabby treatment of a customer.......and wrote he would be tried at the Mall McDonalds on Saturday at 11:30...

then, I went to MALL SECURITY and wrote GI Joe a ticket for impersonating an officer of the law....his trial is Saturday at 11:45 at the Mall McDonalds....

i suppose I'll take the Grandkids to lunch at the Mall Mickey D's to see if those 2 culprits show up Saturday....

well...I ended up at Sears....told PA her hair looked nice...and drove us home....

I'm leting her read this since she didn't ask what was happening with the crowd and all.........

just in case she wants to take me to the Mall again....

:p Brer_Papa, PA should know by now that wherever there is a big crowd, you will be right in the middle of it!!;)

You are a nutcase, did you know that?!?!?!?!

Wait ............... I know why you are a nutcase ............. too many squirrel McNuggets :D

It is just a good thing that you are so cute :scratchin , cause when you are cute you can get away with lots more stuff

 everybody

luckymommy, no Halloween dressing up here. Actually we get very few kids here. If we get 20 we are very lucky and we have 12 kids of trick or treat age in our area. We live on a circle off of a dead end street, a total of 15 houses and streets that go nowhere. Most kids don't want to be bothered although 1/2 block away it is very busy with kids on Halloween.

Dalpal, I hope you didn't lose any fish when your pond overflowed:eek: Do you have fish, what kind?

Ann, sounds like you have had a busy day "picking rocks". hahaha

I had my tap dance and hip hop dance classes tonight and now I am beat!!!!

Hi everyone!

I'm SO tired! After all that rock shoveling - DH and I decided to get another load tonight rather than tomorrow. I'm tired and sore. However, we both have a wonderful sense of accomplishment.

We've been watching the Presidential Debates. We're ready for bed, but will watch the post-debate shows as well. I have a definite opinion as to how it went, but I'll keep it to myself!

BrerPapa, I agree with Cruisin - PA is most probably used to finding you where ever the crowds are. I'm glad you were able to juggle the DVD's. I don't know how to juggle - you'll have to teach me. As for the ripple ring.....you must have had a very small phone in your pocket!

Well, ya'll take care. I'll lurk around later to see if anyone's online!

ETA: Luckymommy - I'm not giving out candy this year. Since I can no longer eat sugar, I refuse to sit with a bowl of the stuff all night! Hubby and I are taking the $$$ we would spend on candy and going to a steakhouse!

For anyone who might wonder where I am for the next few days ..... we are leaving early tomorrow morning and probably will be home some time mid day on Sunday.

We are headed to North Carolina on business.

I hope everybody has a great weekend.

Brer_Papa, we may head down there by going to Cleveland and turning right. So if I make it to Cleveland keep your ears open because I will be sending you a big

HEY THERE BRER_PAPA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

across the air waves all the way to Pennsylvania ;)
