Who else was making their holiday '07 ressies this morning? ;)

Booked my first night at BCV for 12/2-12/8.

This will be our first trip home during the holidays:yay:

I have been out of work for a few months now. Hopefully I will find a job SOON so that I will have accrued vacation time for this trip (and umm, oh yeah, some money to pay our bills too) . Otherwise, someone on the waitlist will be happy if we have to cancel.

Please send me Pixie dust that a job comes through soon.:scared:

do you see a problem getting into SSR at eleven month for a week at a time. I work I can't do a day to day request.

Hi,and Happy New Year to all.We have just booked for 3 weeks at SSR in Aug 2007.This will be our first trip staying in DVC accomodation. We plan to do all the Magic.Has anyone been on the airboat rides at Boggy creek? If so are they worth it?
Which is the nearest supermarket to SSR (A publix or similar) we would appreciate any advice.::MickeyMo

I am calling this week also, hoping to get the dates we want for flower and garden, and food and wine. If the commercial renters haven't already booked all the good dates,I should be fine.

If you want to go during Thanksgiving, do you have to start booking now?

We have used the Publix grocery store at 8145 Vineland Avenue (Regency Village Shopping Center) several times and been very pleased with selection and prices. It is about 10 minutes from SSR, very easy to get to. (Don't know if there is a closer store) We used Goodings (closer to SSR) several times prior to finding the Publix but find Publix prices to be much better.

Good luck.

If you want thanksgiving, you should call immediately. Booking for that started on dec 23rd I believe. Good luck!

I have been calling day by day for dec 2 - 6. I'm booking a standard view 2 bedroom. I forgot to call right at 9 am this morning and I had to wait 8 minutes.

So far so good getting a 1 bed at VWL! :cool1: :thumbsup2

Still trying to decide where to go. I better get planning before its all gone.

You all seem to have your dates picked. DH and I are very confused about when to go. I have heard that the week after Thanksgiving this year was very crowded. I do not want to be there for POP warner Dec1-8 07. So... Do you Disers think Nov 24-Dec1 is really as crowded as I've heard or did I just hear from friends that really are not at WDW enough to know crowds.
Please help so I can call MS today as well. We are at SS so I am sure there is room for this trip... I would love to do 12/8-16 but it is s touch time for DH to take off work.

Thanks

I go this time of year usually arriving the morning after Thanksgiving day and staying 10 days. I didn't go this year but in the past it would be fairly crowded for the weekend and then be great for the rest of the week. There are still crowds and if you are not a veteran WDW onsite guest you could walk away frustrated. We always get up early and see the rides we want to see before 11AM. we then head back to the resort for lunch and a swim or if its cold we just unwind in our villa. We always stay at the BWV so around 3:30pm we head back to either MGM or Epcot to catch a few shows or just stroll around. With fast pass if the lines are getting long even when you get to the park early we just grab a fast pass and go get breakfast in the park. By the time you are fininshed we just walk on the ride. I hardly ever wait more than 15 minutes...lets just say I won't wait that long. I can always find something entertaining to do because I'm not a commando anymore. With DVC we are very relaxed and don't worry about missing anything as we will have lots of time. There is so much to do without even going into the parks. Golfing is great this time of year. We did a wonderful Spa day.

We sometimes just look at all the christmas displays at the resorts. Even if it is more crowded than normal, the weather is usually very nice or at least not hot so you can endure alot more than in July. I like this time of year the best.
