and is struggling to breathe? Geeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeez! I was at the doctor's office this morning. I'm taking an antibiotic for the next 7 days, taking cough medicine to break up everything, have to gargle with warm salt water, and breathe in steam with Vicks in it! In the meantime, I'm choking on the crap! :( I hope this improves soon. I think I'll go take a nap. :scared:

Oh Sandy, I hope you're feeling better, soon! And if your cough med. has codeine in it, make sure you take advantage! I LOVE that stuff--knocks me out cold!:faint: Get lots of rest, drink your fluids, and take your meds. (I also hear that DISing is good for what ails you!) Take care, and get better soon!:sunny:

Thank you, Kim! Unfortunately, no codeine. Rats! LOL! Just Diabetic Tussin over the counter. At least I can breathe right now. Haven't gotten to that nap yet. Nap...homework...nap...homework. Maybe I'll start reading my homework and in the process fall asleep and get that nap. :) Thanks again, Kim! :teeth:

:grouphug: :grouphug:
Hope you fell better soon.
Even though I don't have a cold I can relate, as I have Asthma and this cold weather is not helping any. :( :(

Hope you are feeling better soon....I had that nasty for 4 weeks, my best friend has had it for 9 weeks! Ugh! I struggled through it on OTC meds (hate to take AB unless I absolutely must) and she's been on 2 courses of AB now and still has it....doesn't help that she has asthma and allergies. Hope your AB beat it!!

I finally broke down and went to the doctor last week after having a nasty cough for four weeks. I have bronchitis and am now taking amoxicillin and using Advair (a small inhaler) twice a day. I am still coughing, but not as hard. This crud just keeps hanging on and feels like it's strangling me! It's heck getting old(er);)

I was sick the first half of December, got better about the time the kids got out of school for the holidays but never lost the sniffles or cough. Then on December 31, I took a turn for the worst and started running a temp and coughing my head off. I called the doc and got a round of meds. I'm finally better, but still have a little bit of gunk in my throat. I'm thinking maybe by the 2 month mark I'll be clear!

Get well quick!

It's going around here big time. I got the thing the weekend after Christmas and by New Year's Eve I felt horrible. It took 2-3 weeks to feel better and as recently as Thursday I had to leave a seminar several times due to a coughing spell. Hope you get to feeling better real soon. Beware the relapse:(

:earseek: Thank you, everyone! I used to wait the usual week to 10 days before calling the doctor for anything, but not in ages. Now I'm calling after 2 or 3 days. I had no idea this thing lasts that long! I'm glad I got it early then. Like you, I hope the AB does the trick! And since I'm diabetic, he said he was giving me one that covers lots of things!

To those of you that are over it...YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
To the ones that have it...I hope you're over it SOON!
And to the ones with relapses...:earseek: :earseek: :earseek: Get well and stay well!!
