Hi
I hate to fly, and rely on Xanax. I get a prescription from the doctor. One time I took to much (I thought I didn't take enough since I could still function) and couldn't remember anything about the flight at all. Just be careful how much you take. I don't fly without it. Good luck!!!
I recently heard the odds of being in a plane accident each time you board is 1 in 35 million. And here's the better statistic - if you are in an accident (not sure how that is defined), the survival rate is 95% (think of the miracle on the Hudson).

If anyone is in the Houston Area and wants to get over the fear, I'll be glad to take ya up and let you actually fly the plane. Teach you how everything works, what goes into making a plane etc. I love the miracle of flight
Tommorow morning flying a small plane (Piper PA-12) from Brownwood, TX to Telluride, CO, gotta love it!!!

(An "Accident" is where there is a fatality or severe damage to the aircraft, an "Incident" is when someone bumps a wing on something or bends something minor...we call it "Hangar Rash")
To us, our WDW vacation begins at the airport gate and the flight is the first 'ride'. We don't fly enough to have become jaded by the experience, it's all part of the fun.
