Who else already has airfare bought for Aug/Sep and what did you pay?

I also have $283 ($132) pp in August for Southwest, flying from BDL to MCO. I have an early morning flight in and the last flight out. Both flights are non-stop. I bought the day SW dates came out. I was not going to run the risk of bad flight times or even higher prices and what I have works very, very well for us. I called SWA and even at these prices the planes (for the weekends at least) are filling up.

In comparison, I have flown the last 2 summers in late August for $49+ and this past December and February for $79+.

If prices stay the way they are we will do longer trips, but less frequent (like what we are doing with our upcoming trip).

It would be nice to get a summer sale price but I am not betting the house on it.

LakeAriel - Sorry! We're flying Air Tran.

Hey Samandmom, we may be on the same flight!! :goodvibes

We're going 8/12 - 8/22 - same great rate - nonstop - 8:20 am departure/ HPN
6:20 pm return/ MCO. I juggled around too :rotfl:
We couldn't pass up free dining either, and are deciding where to stay our first night too! I'll let you know when I decide. Just my 14 year old son & I this trip. Staying at POP (1st stay at a value resort) Where are you staying?

Well the good news is that I can stop crying over flying American Airlines! What a shame they took the TV's away! Oh well, it made this first time flier relaxed last October! Thanks Song!

Our flight on the 12th departs at 10:59 am. This one works out better for us so we don't have to get up to early to make the drive to NY. We are also staying at POP for the first time!! :Pinkbounc I have priced out just a room at the POP for the 12th and it will be about $110.00. I have not booked it yet, probaly tommorrow. Our departing flight on the 19th is at 8am. I wanted the 6:20 pm non stop flight but it was all booked up. (it was not booked the first time I checked the prices) Oh well we will spend a night at airport then. We have done this before and it works out great. We just pretty much roll out of bed freshen up a bit, throw the kids in the stroller and have our bags picked up and we are at check in a matter of minutes!!
I can't wait!! I LOVE to eat (and so does my hubby and kids) so we are so excited!! :teeth: Have fun!!

9/11-18
Delta from Toledo to Cincy to MCO.
3 tix free from Northwest rewards
2 tix @ $249 each round trip (actual cost to us was about $100, used American Express points to pay majority of cost)

We usually fly NW from Detroit nonstop, but NW is getting stingy with their free seats so we had to settle for a connection this year. But to leave from home and save the 45 min ride to DTW may be worth it. We were alsof looking at leaving from Cleveland to get the direct flight with the times we preferred so it kinda of worked out that the stop in Cincy would pretty much equal the drive to Cleveland. WE're getting in a little later than we would like (around 4:45) but its not that big of a deal, we don't do much on arrival day anyways.

$79 each way on AirTran from ATL to MCO for 5 people is $885.00 (Sept 23 and 30). I have the Miles One card and hope to have enough points to pay for one ticket in full by the time the 3 month window is up. If not, I'll get $100 cash towards one ticket so the total will be $785 or less.

Continental Aug 10 - 20th CLE/MCO. First flight in, last flight out $260 person. Picked the seats I wanted way back in January...

I thought I would "get a jump" on airfare comparisons and post this thread. I know many of us have our reservations during the Free Dining Promo in Aug/Sept and wanted to have a comparison.

Please post where you're flying from, what airline, dates flying, how many stops, and total price of ticket.

This will help others who are still contemplating, shopping around or wanting to buy early anticipating higher airfare costs. I'll begin...

Denver to MCO - Non Stop- Dep. 9/29 Ret 10/8 - Total cost $304.10-United (Ted)

I got into panic mode when I heard that prices would be going up as soon as 5/1/06. If they go up or down, I don't care, at least it's done :thumbsup2

Hi,
We waited until Jet Blue released flights for Sept and then booked right away. We are flying from BOS to MCO nonstop round trip for $250.00 per person inc all fees and taxes. This is the most we have paid for a roundtrip non-stop flight from Boston to Orlando in a very long time even prior to 9/11. It was the right thing to do though as I checked on the same flights the other day and they were up to $275 per person.

We're paying $157pp total non-stop from Flint, MI to MCO on 9/27-10/4 on AirTran. We booked this last week through the WDW website.

I caved. I moved our dates form 8/26-9/2 to 8/22-8/30 and paid $175 on Delta, BUF-MCO.

More than I hoped to pay, but given the enevironment we are in right now, I just wanted to be done with it.

I was getting so worried about a possible jump in rates (high enough already!) that I just purchased ours online. US Airways, ALB-MCO Aug 16-23 $254.70 each total $1018.80 for the 4 of us. Not direct flights, one change each way, DC down, Charlotte return. At least we got to select our seats, the main reason DH said no to SW. That and the fact that SW was more $$ and I was afraid to wait for a possible sale or ding. Oh well, at least it's over now and I can go to bed!

I just bought 6 tickets on American Airlines, non-stop out of DFW for 1182.60 total.

I booked with Allegiant Air non stop from Stewart Int'l(Newburgh NY)8/27-9/4 2 adults &2 children for $846 round trip.
