Who else already has airfare bought for Aug/Sep and what did you pay?

9/26-10/3 RT from Moline, IL on NWA with short layover in Memphis

$163 pp total

Now to find a good rate for Dec.....

The lowest fare I am finding at my local airport is $288/person! And even at surrounding airports it is either higher or too far to drive and when you factor in gas mileage it's not worth it. Should I bite the bullet or wait it out? My trip is in August!

Delta's prices dropped $20/ticket last night from SC to FL, so I went ahead and booked. $268.10 rt non-stop.

oh Lionqueen, we got the best fare out of DIA to MCO for the same time. Sept. 27- Oct. 2 $150 on Frontier. They have never been so low and it was only available for a short time. I just lucked out and happened to check Travelocity and there it was. :cool1: I booked 4 tickets. I think another DISer from Co posted on this too.

I'm used to paying no more that $113 RT pp. I usually hold out until May for an August trip, but the anxiety of these gas prices was killing me and also my times being booked up!!! Oh well, at least I was able to put one of the tickets against my airfare redemption with my mastercard.
Same here...used to paying no more than about the same amount RT pp. Last year we paid a total of $140 RT (IND to MCO)t...that's the total for TWO people, not per person (came out to be about $70 per person round trip). So paying something that's double that and have it be a per person cost is a little too much for us.

Was the Moline airfare some sort of a special? When did you book it?

I booked it through Travelocity on 4/2.

My TA had given me advance notice that the free dining was going to offered, so I was watching flights for a few days prior. They fluctuated so much - it was driving me crazy.

I had to extend our trip by 2 days to get this rate. :)

Our flight now costs $227. The cheapest flights are now $182.

We are flying Spirit out of Atlantic City 8/17 - 8/27 $193 per person. Thankfully I had a credit so it wound up being $100 per person.

I'm waiting to book my SIL's family of five airfare out of Providence on Southwest. I'm expecting a new sale from them after Spring/Summer sale ends on May 11th. I doubt we'll see the $59 one way fare they have now from PVD to MCO extended with the new sale, but who knows. It will be very interesting to see what the summer fare sale brings.

$300 RT for DD and self (total) from NY to MCO in August. American Airlines morning flight going, evening flight coming back. Booked months ago, same flight... seats have more the doubled!

I live in Baltimore, my sister lives in Chicago. We couldn't wait for Southwest's late September fares to open up, so we got on the phone with each other and scoped out AirTran. Found that we could meet in Atlanta for arrival in MCO together. Very cool. $187 for me and $220 for her. :hourglass now the waiting begins......

We are flying AirTran out of Flint MI to Orlando 8/26-9/2. I got tickets for $198.00/pp round trip non-stop. :wizard:

We booked our entire trip off the Disney website inculding airfair. For the entire trip including airfair, hotel (POP), park tickets, and Free Dinning we are paying only about $600 per person!

8/22-9/1
LGA -> MCO
$89 pp each way
Jet Blue

LaGuardia to MCO $175 per person (tax included) leaving late afternoon on 8/10, returning late evening 8/20 for a cruise. I made my reservation in February. When I last checked, that same route was about $287.

Used Delta FFM to purchase 3 tickets @25,000 miles each to take my sister and nephew to WDW. They have not been in 9 years. Ticket fee $10.00 each. EWR to MCO with a change of planes. If I didn't treat them, they would not be able to go. I am happy, they are happy and we get free dining too, going Aug 14th to Aug 17th staying at POP.

This is one of the rare times I wish I lived somewhere closer to Orlando......

:hippie: pirate: :clown: :stitch:

We are flying from Seattle on 8/18-8/29 for 8/19 cruise and 4 days at WDW with free dining! We needed redeye on 8/18, so we picked Alaska's direct flights. $332 r/t each for the 4 of us including taxes and fees. Purchased 1/31/2006. Now $459. Ouch! We love Alaska Airlines though and we love the direct flights! No other airlines fly directly.

Just checked my airfare from Traverse City MI. to WDW leaving on Sept. 27 thru Oct. 2.

Cheapest I found was $432 each ticket on Northwest! :furious: :sad2:

Not sure if I should just take that or wait and see if it goes down. Course with my luck it will go up. Oh well.
