If she took funds or scholarships meant for minority's then she should be prosecuted for fraud. There is a way to fight for civil rights without lying about her race .. She went as far as to " disguise " herself and that's not ok it's weird.If she is so good at her job she could have done the same as " white" .

I think she should not have taken a scholarship she was not entitled to and should be expected to pay it back. It's also not nice for her to make speeches and take money for those speeches about her experience growing up black when she didn't grow up black and as a blonde hair blue eyed girl growing up she would've had to make stuff up.

Our culture states that if you feel or identify as someone then you can be that person. For example, a person born as a woman might identify as a man and therefore we let him live as a man, if that person wants to. We also are not allowed to discriminate against this person. We should give this woman the same rights. If she feels and identifies herself as a black person than we should let her be one.

Her adopted or foster dad is black. Her brothers are black. She went to a mostly black school and faced a lot of discrimination. She attended Howard and was praised for her African art until her teachers found out she was white. She doesn't like white people and wants to be black. Why not let her be African American?

I have no problem with her choice to be black, What I don't like it seems to me she lied to a lot of people. Her parents were on TV and they are both white.

Lying is not right. Do you think it was right for Bruce Jenner to lie to Chris about who he really was? Maybe this woman just didn't know how to make the change to a different race without deceiving people. She probably thought society wouldn't accept her change.

The issue for me is that such organizations are presumably set up to help people who are discriminated against because they are black. If she hadn't altered her appearance then she wouldn't be discriminated against because she was black. If someone can simply alter their look and take things meant for another race then that would seem to defeat the whole purpose.

I don't care personally if she calls herself black though. It's sad that she has apparently dropped her parents so that they wouldn't blow her cover but that's her business.

She doesn't have an adopted or foster father. She was raised by her birth parents who are both white. She claimed someone else was her father, but it was made up. She does have adopted siblings who are black.

Plus how does one "feel" black when one isn't? I can see sexual confusion but I don't get racial confusion. You aren't really different IMO except for your skin tone and often sadly your experiences.
