Any must do's? Love the ketchup thing but don't quite understand what's going on! hahah :rotfl2:

We had lunch there in Sept, and ketchup was on every table, so there was no accumulation of ketchup bottles on our table. Our waitress walked by and tossed a handful of napkins in the air over our table, also did the same with straws. My husband drank his Coke fairly quickly and when she brought him another one, it was at least a quart jelly jar of Coke - maybe 2 quarts! HUGE!

They had an animal sounds contest and our 5-yo wanted to enter, so he went to the microphone and did a "whoooo, whoooo" for an owl and got a Magical Moments certificate.

It was a fun meal and very good. I had a terrific chocolate milkshake with my lunch! YUM!

I was able to get a reservation for lunch on the 31st...nothing for dinner though! Wow, I didn't think it was going to be reallllly busy during that week. Oh well! At least, we got lunch! :thumbsup2

Any other stories? Funny pics? :goodvibes

We hated our seating at WCC. We were stuck in the middle with four other tables, between the two dining rooms. I would suggest NOT sitting there if you are looking for antics. If you get placed there, I would ask to move. You can't see any of the action in any section and you're truly your own island.

Had dinner there in 04 with husband and kids, ages 9 and 12. They LOVED it. They still talk about it. My daughter mistakenly asked for ketchup -- had about 30 bottles delivered to the table. She was mortified! The younger one did the horse race around the place and the food was delicious! It's really a WDW meal where you don't leave thinking, "Man, that was really expensive and not worth it," especially if you have kids. It's one of about 2 or 3 restaurants we'd return to, even if not staying at WL.

We HATED WCC and it was our worst dinner there. I was not a fan of having my waitress yell at me and throw things at me and all those stupied jokes, just not my style. Also the food was horrible, the worst food that week!

We went a couple of years ago. Our waiter did the jelly jar of Diet Coke trick on me and we thought it was hilarious. We had a family style breakfast and it was pretty good from what I remember.

I considering this place for lunch during my next trip.

I hate to say it was one of our worst meals too. It all tasted pre-made and as if it had been under a heat lamp. It was toward the end of the night and our waiter wasn't much fun. We were also seated at the table nearest the check-in and so there was constant traffic. I think we'll try something else next time. It's too bad because we were all really looking forward to it. On the other hand we had the greatest time at Ohana (both food and entertainment).

We were there 3 weeks ago...it stunk!!!!

We had an absolute DUD for a waiter....the food was not very good either...this is the 2nd time we ate there...to give it another chance...we will NOT do it again.

Ate dinner there on Dec. 23 at 5pm....then we took the sleighride at 7pm.

"Big Al" was our waiter.
He was enjoyable, food was good...we had a nice time.

I was disappointed that the staff did not do one activity that we've seen during all our other visits - at one point, all the kids are usually called up front to recite a hysterical pledge about not going to Universal,....and all this other stuff. They did not do that this time.

Since our last trip to WCC last May, they have gotten rid of the Nachos...so sad.

Tell your server that you are really thirsty. ;)

Have someone call you on your cellphone, or talk on your phone when your waiter is there.

we tried all of those things...NONE of them brought any response at all....like I said...a big dud...not even ketchup got a response

I went with my family of seven in June and had a great time. It was my sons 15th birthday and they made him ride the wooden pony all around the restaurant. I was corny but a great time. We really enjoyed the boat ride from the MK to the Restaurant. I think to have fun you have to want to have fun and promt your servers and I promise you will have a great time. Dave:yay: :yay: :yay:

IMO, great restaurant, embarrassing (yet funny) antics. The food, IMO, has gone on a steady decline the past few years, but I will still go with an open mind! :)

I'm sad and surprised that so many people had a bad experience here. My DH and I have eaten here several times. We always laugh and have a fun time. We love the garlic mashed potatoes and the desserts. The place is pretty loud but it is to be expected with the location. We think it is a fun place. And many other people must too because you need ADRs for sure. It is always hopping!

who knows....I first thought that they were trying to tone it down because of the Christmas holiday...but then we heard and saw the other servers clowning around...I think our guy was having an off night, big time.

The first time we went, my family and I had a great time. The waiter was great, he was funny and having a good time. The ketchup things had my kids smiling. And all the dads (including me) got up to do the little girl dance (the name escapes me). It was a great time and both kids wanted to make sure we went back when we went to Disney again.

And we did. It was shortly after they started the Disney Dining plan. And things were different. our waiter wasn't having a good time; he was working. And it wasn't limited to just him; it seemed to be all the wait staff. My daughter didn't even finish dinner; she was so unhappy she wanted to leave the table half way through the meal.

I don't know if we'll go back. We might but I'd have to hear that the restaurant has gone back to what it used to be.

Jeff
