Whispering Canyon Café, breakfast, 5/24
I regret doing this. Its not that anything was bad. It was all just adequate. Id rather grab breakfast at Roaring Forks. We didnt end up doing the skillet as we decided we wouldnt eat half of what was offered on it. It was also just a bit on the over priced side, even for a hotel. It wasnt dead, but hardly lively. There was nothing going on that you couldnt get at Dennys.
Whispering Canyon Café, dinner, 5/28
This was our first and last dinner here, even if we stay at WL again. We ordered the skillet meal for DH and myself and grilled cheese sandwiches for both the boys. The food was all right. Nothing I couldnt get anywhere else (including bbq fast food) for a lot less money. Id rather eat somewhere a little more unique next timesomewhere in Epcot maybe???
The service was rotten. OK, our server was training. However, the trainer was dropping the ball quite a bit too. Especially since it was the trainees very first day. We were rushed to give an order, but waited forever to get food. Tables sat after us, got food first. We couldnt get refills. When something did come out, it was frequently the wrong thing (i.e., chocolate milk shake instead of vanilla). They pulled away our toddlers grilled cheese before he was done. There was no personality at our table. We werent even offered dessert. When our bill came, there were a lot of mistakes on it. It was just all around bad service.
