Whispering Canyon Cafe Reviews

We just got back tonight from WDW and I wanted to say I had a positive experience at WC...the only thing I did not care for was the ribs ..pretty fatty...otherwise the food and dessert gets one big YUMMY from me.

The antics were great that evening...even my DH who is VERY reserved got pulled into it much to his dismay..the chef came out and made him join in the "butterfly dance"

we had a female cm who was great..can't recall her name. No over the top silly stuff from herm but that was ok with us b/c I don't know how much more DH could have taken after his dance debut.... :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Lucky for me I have the pictures to prove it too...hehehe

I've always had a great time there. I think one of the ways to "rile it up" is to know the key things they are supposed to go off on.

For example, ask for Ketchup, order a large drink, ask for a straw, tell them you went to universal or sea world today, ask where you can get gum, talk on your cell phone, wear clothes from other parks, point out it's someone's BD, even if it's not their birthday! Sometimes it might take a little of encouragement from you to get the ball rolling, but when they see your into it, you may get more back than you expect.

There is a list of other things people say "Don't Do," but if you want the action, just try them all out!!!

We just got back, also, and ate at WCC for the first time. We had a 12noon (first seating) ADR for lunch. This was on 6/7, and we were also celebrating my birthday (a few days late).

We all had a great time...and the antics were plentiful...both from our server and others. One server (not ours) made our baby girl cry (NOT on purpose...she just cries at people sometimes), and him and our server went back and forth about it for the whole meal. Our waitress threw the napkins and straws at us, and was just an all-around hoot. There were people on cell phones during the meal, and the wait staff would start yelling, very loudly, for everyone to be quiet because someone was on the phone. There were a few things for kids, like the pony races (which my shy ds did not participate in). And, I got a big mason jar of Diet Coke when I asked for a refill.

For my birthday, they pulled the same cake stunt as the other poster here...where they sing happy birthday and then break out spoons and eat it all. I was laughing sooo hard.

We thought the food was very good, also. We are not adventurous (sp?) eaters, so we enjoy this kind of basic food.

Overall, we loved our experience here. I'm really sorry for those who did not get the same kind of experience we did...I'm sure you were disappointed.

We had lunch there and thought it was good. We've been there for dinner three times. The first time its good. The Second time was Ok and third time the food was awful.... The food really is a joke. The meat was very fatty. The beans were terrible and corn bread was dry. I wouldn't go back or recommend the place to anyone. Service is always slow and its hard to find your server.
