I live in San Diego and went to Cincinnati for Christmas. Both my & my husband's families live there. Two weeks after Christmas, my MIL, DS who is almost 3, and myself took a short, whirlwind trip to WDW!
Our flight arrived on time at 2:50pm, but when we got to the baggage claim, our towncar, Yourride was not there. I was so disappointed, but we got another ride and checked in to the Beach Club at about 4:00pm on Saturday. We unpacked a bit then headed for the busses, where we waited a good 15min. We were on Main Street by 5pm. We were able to ride Pooh, Carousel and Small World, then went to stake a spot for SpectroMagic. I left MIL & DS in the circle near the castle, then went to Plaza Pavillion for some dinner, pizza & chicken strips, all pretty good & hot, which was nice, because we were cold! We had hats & gloves on while waiting for the parade. The parade was so much fun and so beautiful, my son loved it. Afterward we went back to FL and were able to ride Pooh twice, Teacups and SmallWorld again. Then we watched the fireworks. A pretty good day all in all.
Sunday was supposed to be MGM day, but we feared the rain on Mon, so I switched the days, and we went back to MK, for early morning hour. We set our alarm, had room service about 7:15am which is always nice, and were at the bus stop before 8am. We waited 15min, then were dropped off at TTC because of the Marathon, we got to the gates about 8:40am, only to find out it wasn't EE at MK, due to the marathon, it had been switched with AK. It was cold, which added a bit to my annoyance. They could have told us at check-in or had some kind of sign in the lobby at the hotels or something. So, we waited with everyone else until 9am, then we were let in. After that little snafu, the day went great. We went on everything we wanted, with very little waiting, we saw the Country Bears, had good burgers at Pecos and headed out at about 2pm. DS fell asleep on the bus and we were able to get him into his stroller without him waking up! He slept about 1 1/2 hrs in the room, it was great! Then we were off to our 5:30PS at Cinderella's Gala Feast! We took the bus to MK, then the monorail to GF. The dinner was great! DS posed with Cinderella & Prince Charming in the lobby, then the mice and Fairy Godmother visited our table. Nobody rushed with him at all. The food was very good also. Then we walked out to the dock behind GF and watched the fireworks at 7pm, the view was excellent! We took a cab ride back, it was $12. We had a really great day and were all asleep by 10pm.
