We LOVE the AKL and I can't imagine staying anywhere else but DH wants to try something different:scratchin .

I appreciate any input!!!!

The BC is in a great location! You can't beat walking to EPCOT or even MGM and having access to all the entertainment and restaurants on the Boardwalk. The theming is great and if you have kids they will love the pool.

Good luck with your decision!

We'll be staying at AKL for the 1st time and I'm real excited for this trip...but I voted for the Beach Club, Yacht Club being my 2nd choice. I dont think my husband would be comfortable at GF (although I would be) and we would never be able to stay at the Boardwalk, due to fact that clowns freek out out my daughter, and she doesnt like the looks of the clown waterslide:rolleyes:

I voted for the Boardwalk, although it was really a toss-up between the Boardwalk and the Beach Club. The reason - location, location, location! We love staying in the Boardwalk/Epcot resort area. You can walk to Epcot and MGM (or take the boats). Plus there's all the entertainment options on the Boardwalk. And I haven't even mentioned all the dining options! Between the Boardwalk, BWI, YC/BC, Swan/Dolphin, and Epcot, there are a huge amount of very nice restaurants within strolling distance.

As far as which resort, we have never stayed at either the Boardwalk or the Beach Club, but we've visited both on every trip so far, and we really like the feel of both of them. For us, the Boardwalk has a very slight edge over the Beach Club, but we'd love to stay at either one. Of course, the YC is right there too, but it doesn't really appeal to us as much when compared to BWI or BC.

I voted for the YC. It's a beautiful resort with an awesome location, and the pool is the best on property. Also there is so much nightlife over in that area, it's really fun. :)

The GF is also great. Especially if you want to be close to MK. :)

I voted Beach Club. I could have just as easily voted Yacht Club, because they're both equally great. You didn't mention kids, you just said "DH." We don't have kids, and we find the Epcot Resort area to be wonderful for us. Love walking to Epcot and MGM. I choose Beach Club over Boardwalk because of Stormalong Bay. And, I think YC/BC is less "bustling" than the Boardwalk. We've stayed at GF and it's fine, but we definitely liked the casual elegance of the BC better...for our style.

Either way - these are great choices and you can't go wrong.

YC or BWI. I like the access to Epcot and the boat ride to MGM. I like the night life at BW, just everything about it I like. I am going in Novmber for the food and wine festival and I am staying at BWI, easy access to get to Epcot. :D

Tough choice, they are all wonderful! I've stayed at all but YC. If it's just you and DH, I would pick Boardwalk Inn. I like BWI because it's smaller than YC/BC. It's great to walk or boat to both MGM and Epcot. Lots of nice restaurants in the area. If you want a spa experience, then go with GF.

We are lovers of the AKL but would like to try the YC because we really enjoy Epcot and usually spend 3 full days there during most of our visits, plus we always eat at the restaurants at BC/YC (Cape May and Yachtsmans Steakhouse are on the top of our must do!) I am making a short solo trip this month and my first PS is at the Cape May followed by Illuminations.

We love AKL but I dream of staying at the Boardwalk Inn someday. We always spend an evening over there on each and every trip. I just love the whole Boardwalk area.

I think Beach Club is the closest you can get to a 180 opposite of AKL whilst staying in the deluxe category

thanks

I voted BC, the location is perfect for Epcot, MGM and the Boardwalk. I like the BWI also, but it seems closer to Epcot from the BC, that may be my imagination. And, SAB is the best pool on property.:teeth:

I voted BC, but there is not much difference among BC/YC/BW in all honesty. I like the short walk to EPCOT, short walkl to boat to MGM--which all 3 resorts have.

Plus, Stormalong Bay is a lot of fun--especially with youngsters!

I voted for BW I can't imagine anything nicer... I love the Boardwalk in the morning walking to get coffee at the bakery, in the afternoon walking to/from the parks, and the evening is great I love jellyrolls, the performers, the games, the whole thing....
I love it!!! Don't get me wrong I love the other resorts but BW is it for me.

I voted for GF, even though I've never stayed there and probably never will. DH refuses to stay there, saying he doesn't like the "snooty" theming. We've visited GF many times and I think it is so beautiful. The location can't be beat, either!

I voted Grand Floridian, but only because you only listed 4 choices. I'd pick the Polynesian or the Wilderness Lodge over any of those listed. Just my opinion. :teeth:

I voted for the Beach Club- I haven't stayed at any of these resorts (I'm a WL and CR vet), but the Beach Club really appeals to me for these reasons:
Proximity to Epcot & MGM
Storm Along Bay
The atmosphere

I would choose the Boardwalk next, but I would be afraid it might be a little noisy depending upon the room you receive.

The Yacht Club seems a bit stuffy to me, as does the GF, but I certainly would stay there if I had the chance!

I voted for the Beach Club - I know I'd really like to stay there someday. :) The location is great, swimming is great & there are many delicious restaurants on site. Having MGM & Epcot so close would be a great advantage, too.

I also think the Grand Floridian would be a great one to stay at because it is on the monorail. After being able to stay at the Polynesian & the Contemporary, nothing compares to the monorail. ;)

Good luck! :)
