Which week in December?

From what I can tell it seems like the earlier the better in December in terms of crowds but this is just from Internet research and not my own experience (we are going 12-18 due to DH work schedule).

We choose Dec 3-10 due to low crowds.

It is PopWarner week but by most accounts that only affects value resorts, not much lark impact.

My favorite is to arrive the Saturday after Thanksgiving making Sunday the first park day. Until Pop Warner people hit the parks on Saturday it's great. Crowd and noise levels go up dramatically once they arrive.

Thanks! The place we wanted to stay was booked Dec 3-10 so I think we will give 11-17 a shot. I think the crowds pick up the week after, hopefully. b

Went in early December last year and it was great. Weather was great...crowds were bearable and the decorations were fantastic. Probably my favorite time to go.

How does that affect the crowd levels that week? For example, do ride waits dramatically increase? Is it difficult to move around? etc, etc.

It doesn't affect park crowds that much, you may see them in small groups. They spend most of their time at Wide World of Sports with their competitions and games. it's more of an issue at the hotels they are staying at. Last year it was All Star, Coronado & CBR.

the first week after thanksgiving is most of the time the best and the second week is the next best thing.......

and the pop warner kids are busy playing or cheering during the day so no real impact......BUT the resorts there in are horrible with noise and crowded...

Thanks DebbieB and mmafan! That week is one of the six weeks we are considering (provided we can save up enough $$.) We would be staying off site, so crowded resorts wouldn't be an issue for us.
