Just wondering. I know Florida weather is unpredictable, but right now accuweather and the weather channel have complete opposite forecasts for this Sunday! Weird, right?

I've found that the Weather Channel is usually fairly accurate for here at home, so I tend to trust it a little more. But I know what you mean. I've been stalking the forecast for several days now, and it's changed nearly every time I look at it. As it gets closer to time (9 days out right now), I'll start checking out some of the forecasts on local news channel's sites.
I'm just about done worrying about it. My only reason for checking is to keep tabs on which day would be best for AK and what night(s) might be favorable for fireworks.

The only thing that seems to be accurate is looking at the radar and watching its movement. I just got back a few days ago...about a week out every day had a 40-60% chance of rain. Even Sunday morning, that day had an 80% chance, which I saw fluctuate from 80% down to 15%, then back up to 60% as the day progressed. Brought my raincoat into the park that day...never used it. I recall a tiny bit of drizzle late that afternoon; not nearly enough to even bother with the raincoat.

It's Orlando. The forecast is hot and muggy with a chance of thunderstorms.....always :rotfl2:. Seriously though, I have seen the weather change from one moment to the next. Just always be prepared and have fun!

Sounds just like here in Houston! Torrential downpour one minute, bright and sunny 5 minutes later.

I've found Accuweather to be quite accurate, as far as predicting rain a few hours ahead of time. That's enough time for us to leave the parks and go home so we're happy with that.

In the days leading up to going we compare Weather.com and Accuweather, to get a rough idea. DB also has a weather app on his phone so we can check in when it looks like it may start raining or something.

The best "forecast" in WDW is the one you get from your eyes and body when standing somewhere.

It can be monsooning at AK but be dry at MK.
LOL.. My answer was going to be the one you see when you look out the window

This is the engine I use. It's an app put out by our local TV station. But they use Accuweather for the data. I am able to change locations and when we go to Disney I use Lake Buena Vista. I like that it uses Google Earth as the map so I can actually see the parks/resorts, etc on the image and know exactly where the rain is. I also find their temp forecasts to be as accurate as any

I don't bother with weather forecasts and Walt Disney World planning. How once would my family have been tent camping at Fort Wilderness when southern Florida was hit with Hurricane Andrew?

We had the most beautiful weather at Epcot that day than I have ever experienced at WDW!!

I agree with those that said the one you get when you look out the window. It really is so unpredictable. Our last two trips all of the forecasts were completely off. There wasn't supposed to be any rain and then we had rain the entire first day and night in October and just a few weeks ago it was supposed to be chance of thunderstorms in the evening but turned out to be non stop rain from early morning through the afternoon. The October rainy day forecast was even wrong that very day. Pretty much prepare for rain at some point and hope for the best.

Have been working at MK entry and seen the rain so bad on the Lagoon you could not see the launch docks and was needing sunscreen at the entry and the forecast was for a sunny day. Park was totally dry but the CM parking lot north of MK was flooded.
