Which was your FIRST Disney restaurant?

Hollywood Brown Derby

My wife (girlfriend back then) and I went to MGM for the day while we were in Clearwater visiting her parents. It had to be about 12 years ago.

I remember our first TS resturaunt-it was Liberty Tree Tavern, in 1987. I remember thinking how ironic it was to be there-at the time, we lived near Boston, and the resturaunt reminded me of a lot of the ones back home. Our first character meal was Melvin the Moose at Fort Wilderness-"Wake up, you silly moose!" I also love these trips down memory lane on resturaunts-sadly, all the character meals we did in the 80's have since been discontinued.

My husband and I were just reviewing our ADR's and started reminiscing about our early dining experiences at Disney World...those we liked, those we didn't. Our first table service was at Les Chefs de France in Epcot and our first counter services was at Pinocchio Village Haus in Magic Kingdom. Great memories!

Our first TS was San Angel Inn in 2004. We chose it since we all love Mexican food. It was just okay for us. We found the food to be mediocre and the very dim/yellow lighting really bothered my mother's eyes (she has eye problems and uses medication/wears glasses). We are giving San Angel another shot in September, but we are going mostly for the atmosphere and not expecting much from the food. We have 10 days of free dining so we figured, "Why not?" Famous last words, perhaps?:rotfl:

cinderella's castle for dinner, october '95 with DS

i had prime rib - DS had kids' mac & cheese

My first Disney counter service was in Tomorrowland in Disneyland but I don't remember the name of it. It was back in 1975 and I remember I had a hamburger with fries.

My first table service was also in Disneyland in 1991. We had dinner at the Blue Bayou. I had always wanted to eat here everytime I passed it while on the Pirates of the Caribbean ride.

In Disney World in 1994 my first counter service was at Old Port Royale at the CBR and the first table service was Liberty Tree Tavern for dinner.

my wife and I went to Mama Melrose's for my first TS (she has been to WDW more than me) my first CS was Cosmic Ray's

I have no idea what restaurant we ever went to. Isn't that sad? The first time I ever went to Disney was on our honeymoon about 14 years ago. I wish I took pictures of what we ate and the restaurants. I only have a couple rolls of film from that trip and no video. I have a picture of us at the Sci-Fi Dine In, so maybe that was the first. Who knows.:confused3

First dinner was Hoop de doo if that counts and for a regualar sit down not a show it was Top of the World (Now Cali Grill) first cs was Columbia Harbor house.

First CS: Pecos Bills for lunch
First TS: Cinderella's Royal Table for dinner (I was twelve, and I remember being highly unimpressed with the fancy food. Hee. :goodvibes )

Cindarella's Royal Table when I was 3 I do believe. I have been hundreds of times since then and I have vague memories of Mexico, China, France, The TS in Frontier Land. In recent years I have been to Italy, Wolfgang Pucks, and Tony's.

I have done just about every counter service place in Epcot and most in MK. I recall eating in Tomorrowland s lot while growing up.

Our first trip we ate nothing but counter service. The first was Pecos Bills.

The first table service was Liberty Tree Tavern.

Not counting Disneyland which was Blue Bayou which we did first in 1985... Our first TS at WDW in 1993 was Top of the World Dinner show at the CR. (Now California Grill.. without the show). I remember because there was a strick dress code, with women needed dresses and men in jackets. felt out of place taking the bus from DxL (now POR) in "dress clothes" and everyone else was in park clothes. The show was not really "Disney", but more broadway showtunes. I don't remember the food at all, but the show was great.
