My husband and I were just reviewing our ADR's and started reminiscing about our early dining experiences at Disney World...those we liked, those we didn't. Our first table service was at Les Chefs de France in Epcot and our first counter services was at Pinocchio Village Haus in Magic Kingdom. Great memories!

I think it was the Empress Lilly (now Fulton's Crab House) in The Disney Village (now Downtown Disney). It was a character breakfast I went to as a little tyke and I remember loving it.

The first table service that I can remember is at France when I was 14...french bread, salad and french onion soup! Yikes that was 20 years ago!:scared1:

The first CS was Cosmic Rays at MK. Lots of good choices and student choirs were singing, which was nice to listen to.

The first TS was WCC. What a hoot! I have a picture of my dh dancing like a daisy, which is priceless.

My first Disney restaurant was Goofy's Kitchen at the Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim and I absolutely loved it! Going to be trying several new TS restaurants in WDW in May and looking forward to it! :teeth:

Oh, and my first CS was Redd Rockett's Pizza Port in Disneyland's Tomorrowland - loved it too!

Even though I'd been to WDW 3 times before our first family trip in 2001, I honestly can not remember where we ate on those trips. Two of the trips were when I was a teenager, the third one I was only about 22 years old. I don't think we did ANY sit-downs (Were there sit-downs in MK back then?? LOL), I do vaguely remember Pecos Bill's.

Anyway, I consider my/our first Disney restaurant to be Hollywood & Vine, for dinner, in 2001. It was our first day at WDW and we hit MGM Studios that first evening because I wanted to see Fantasmic. Unfortunately it got rained out that night, but we had a good time at dinner at H&V. :)

If anyone would like to see the pictures of all of the restaurants (and the food.lol) I've ever dined at, at Disney World, just click the link below in my signature, then follow the "Walt Disney World" link on the main page. Enjoy! :sunny:

I don't remember the first CS but my first TS was lunch at LTT. This was waaaaay back in 1982. To this day it is still one of my favorites:cutie:

Cinderell's Royal Table, character breakfast was our first. IT was simply the most magical time I really can remember. Being in the top of the castle that known round the world, served by the castle keeps, the best food I may have ever eaten.

We go back ever so often and it's just as good everytime. Even tho it's hard to walk after the experience. ;)

Luau at the Poly, I was 8 and Balu Bear taught us the hula in hula skirts ! I remember it well, and we have pix ( I was 11 at the time and now am 40!)
I also have pix of me and an ORANGE BIRD in front of the TIKI room _drinking Orange Juice from a plastic orange (which was the cup). There was a snack/juice spot there serving orange julius type drinks.Sunshine something...I think it was called. Sunshine Seasons maybe??? :confused3 THE BIRD character was torturing my older brother and I in these funny photos! (and no Im not posting them, they are bizzare!):rotfl: :scared1: :woohoo:

................ah the memories.............thanx Walt!:thumbsup2

On our honeymoon trip 1986, Biergarten (Germany) :dance3:. We got the reservation (same day) at Guest Services. :)

I first went to WDW in June 1991 and can't remember a single detail other than being so hot and exhausted from being at the park from open to close. I went with my BFF and her family and they were the go-go-go type.

Fast forward to December 2003 and my first family trip. We went to MK the first day and started off the trip with a breakfast at CP. I couldn't possibly forget being on Main Street with my DH and DS with so little people around and just being so happy to be at WDW.

The ice cream social with Chip & Dale at Garden Grille in 2004....wish it was still there!!!

Our first TS was Chef Mickey's when it was in DTD...now the RFC is there. It was just so-so. Our first CS was Peco's Bill and we liked it.

As a child me and my family ate at Cinderella's Castle - I vaguely remember it...long time ago.

My first CS was Pecos Bills and TS was 'Ohana. 'Ohana is still my favorite.

I think it was the Empress Lilly (now Fulton's Crab House) in The Disney Village (now Downtown Disney). It was a character breakfast I went to as a little tyke and I remember loving it.

I remember that one too but my first was Libert Tree tavern with my parents.

Our first TS was Marrakesh, we were starving and that's the first place we landed off the friendship boat.

The first restaurant I can remember (that left a lasting impression) was Papatee' Bay Veranda...now known as Ohana...this was back in 1975 when my family would eat there for the stuffed french toast..yummy!

When you have been visiting since 1972 there are really way too many restaurants/meals to place just one as being the first.

My true first was probably Casey's as I can remember eating there on my first trip when my Grandparents brought me to the Magic Kingdom on a bus trip from Miami in 1972...and 41 visits later my how things have changed!

First CS (that I remember) was the Main Street Bakery. First TS was Nine Dragons in Epcot.

First TS w/DH (and his 1st ever) was Rose & Crown in Epcot. Waited 30 minutes to get to the head of the line for the hostess. One hour for a pager and another hour for the pager to go off. Food was good but the viewing for Illuminations was wonderful!!!! :cool1:
