I'm planning our next trip and would like to know which Universal Hotel (PBH, RPR or HRH) is best for kids & why.

Do any of them have special treats or activities for kids? Which has the best pool for kids?

Thanks in advance for all the help!

If you want the best pool, go for RPR.

If you want a neat, rockin' place, try HRH.

If you need lots of space, try PBH.

The pool at HRH has a cool water slide, and a life guard often jumped right into the pool with the kids, shooting them with supersoakers. They loved it. I've never been to the other two hotels...yet!

Having been to both RPH and HRH with a nine year old, my vote for best pool is the HRH. It has a wonderful slide (great fun for adults too)! Although RPH's pool is beautiful, without a slide, it just doesn't compare.

Thanks everyone for the information :D ! I think I'm leaning more towards staying at HRH.

I read somewhere that the hotels give goody bags to the kids upon check-in. Is this true? Has anyone's kids received treats upon check-in? If so, what do they get?

Thanks for the help!

You did'nt post you kids ages but i have a 10,yo and went down with anyother 8yo and my triplets all on different trips at different times. We just returned from the PBH and HRH and hands down they loved the PBH hotel more. They like the slide at the HRH but hated the hotel in general they were begging us not to come back there they even asked us to promise them from now on just the PBH I agreed. THe PBH is quieter the kids seemed calmer and the mood just totally relaxed and they loved the room and the pools at PBH more.

Now I'm totally confused. First I wanted PBH. then I was sold on HRH. Now you say your kids loved PB. Anyone else?

My girls 11 and 15 preferred the pool at PBH. It is less crowded, and the slide they said was just as good as HRH even though shorter. The mood is more relaxed, and there was more choice for food. The girls liked the look of it better, too. We want to go there for our next trip. They did like the music better at HRH. We actullt stayed at HRH and went to the PBH pool a couple of times instead of HRH. If you want to do a cabana, which we did, you gotta do it HRH.

The HRH pool was great. Haven't tried the other two. My boys, 9, 12 and 15 enjoyed the music and the atmosphere. I don't know how the mood is at the other two, but the HRH was just as I expected, wonderful and fun! My kids enjoyed the ping pong table and the shuffle board by the pool. When they wanted a change of pace we took them into the game room. Not for long though considering what we paid for park tickets. Just a nice break from the usual is all. If you're a music lover, you will certainly enjoy all of the great music that is played throughout the hotel (except in the elevator). There was a DJ by the pool at night as well playing music. I don't know if that was every night, but three of our 8 nights that we were down there, he was there. We had turndown service every night with a treat for the kids. I don't know if it's for every room as we stayed in the deluxe club level and found it well worth it. They also had a gift upon check in. Cardboard animal print bags with sunglasses, visors and blow up guitars. I wouldn't hesitate to go back.
