We booked our free dining package for September for my husband and I. We are planning on going to the parks for 4 days. I do not need any park tickets, but my husband does. In order to get the free dining package we had to get a minimum 2 day ticket. So my husband will only need to get 2 more days. The CM I talked to on the phone said that when we get there, he can add on an additional 2 days to his ticket and it would be cheaper than buying a separate 2 day ticket. I didn't realize you could do this, is this correct? And do you think it will actually be cheaper to wait until September to do this, since we all know the ticket prices will be going up sometime in August, or will it be cheaper to get a separate 2 day pass now, before the increase?

1- The CM I talked to on the phone said that when we get there, he can add on an additional 2 days to his ticket and it would be cheaper than buying a separate 2 day ticket.

2- I didn't realize you could do this, is this correct?

3- And do you think it will actually be cheaper to wait until September to do this, since we all know the ticket prices will be going up sometime in August, or

4- will it be cheaper to get a separate 2 day pass now, before the increase?

1- Yes.
2- Yes.
3- Last year the increase was in JUNE.
4- No.

1. And do you think it will actually be cheaper to wait until September to do this, since we all know the ticket prices will be going up sometime in August, or will it be cheaper to get a separate 2 day pass now, before the increase?

With or with out the price increase it will be cheaper to add 2 days to his ticket when you get there.

So

1. Don't buy another 2 day ticket for him.

2. Don't have him use your 2 day ticket, just save it for future use, by you or someone else.

Do the ticket upgrade inside a park.

More specifically, use the ticket a little first in which case the cost to upgrade is the cost of the third and fourth days as computed from the prices posted above the ticket booths that day. If you upgrade immediately upon resort check in, the cost may be a little higher, the difference between a new 4 day ticket and what you paid.

No more upgrades can be done after the 14'th day from when the ticket was first used; some more severe limitations apply to tickets not part of resort packages.
