I just had an incredibly frustrating experience with an agent from a well-known, well-respected Disney-specialist TA (not mentioning who since I'm not looking to bash them, the person was very nice they just didn't know *anything* about how BRP works) and before I start randomly contacting other agencies, I wanted to know for those who have had a TA use the "other" BRP booking system to book multiple rooms at once and have access to a different room agencies, who was able to do that for you?
The very nice person I worked with didn't think Disney allowed more than one room per passholder, told me the occupant of the room had to be the passholder, and that she couldn't book via the BRP site with just my voucher number (supposedly even called Disney to verify that). So in short she could do less than I could do on my own.
We've got a slightly complex travel situation with 2 seperate families each needing 2 adjoining rooms and that's a little annoying for me to do myself through the BRP site, and we're not currently getting any availability at POP or ASMo for 12/1-12/4 and would like to see if the "other" system and room inventory has any better luck. I've already booked BRP for two of the rooms at AS:Sports (mostly to prove to the TA that it could be done) and it will annoy me, but I'll eat the non-refundable deposit if I can get into one of the resorts I'd prefer to stay at.
