Which TAs can book multiple BRP rooms?

I just had an incredibly frustrating experience with an agent from a well-known, well-respected Disney-specialist TA (not mentioning who since I'm not looking to bash them, the person was very nice they just didn't know *anything* about how BRP works) and before I start randomly contacting other agencies, I wanted to know for those who have had a TA use the "other" BRP booking system to book multiple rooms at once and have access to a different room agencies, who was able to do that for you?

The very nice person I worked with didn't think Disney allowed more than one room per passholder, told me the occupant of the room had to be the passholder, and that she couldn't book via the BRP site with just my voucher number (supposedly even called Disney to verify that). So in short she could do less than I could do on my own.

We've got a slightly complex travel situation with 2 seperate families each needing 2 adjoining rooms and that's a little annoying for me to do myself through the BRP site, and we're not currently getting any availability at POP or ASMo for 12/1-12/4 and would like to see if the "other" system and room inventory has any better luck. I've already booked BRP for two of the rooms at AS:Sports (mostly to prove to the TA that it could be done) and it will annoy me, but I'll eat the non-refundable deposit if I can get into one of the resorts I'd prefer to stay at.

we ended up booking their group rate but when we were discussing making some changes and renewing just my AP I know my agent at Magical Memories Travel had said she could do 2 rooms for us if we wanted to use BRP.

I think it is Magical Journeys that says on their web site they can book more than one room too.

Hope you are able to find what you are looking for!

Technically Disney's site says ONE room per adult passholder.

Now, having said that, CRO will still advise you can book up to 3 rooms per passholder (but that is with the old system.)

That is where it gets tricky. Each reservation has to be booked in the passholder's name. If you book more than one room then you have the "lead person" on more than one room. Disney does not allow the changing of the lead person's name on a reservation. So it gets a bit confusing as to what is and is not allowed.

In addition even a travel agent booking this could run into all 4 rooms not being available at the same resort. There is no way to get all 4 at the same time, so you could get 2 or 3 of them booked and the others not be available.

I wish you the best of luck in getting this taken care of (and by the way--the voucher number CAN be used for booking these--it has to be the actual voucher number and not the confirmation number for purchasing the pass.)

I was told by Guest services that I could book 3 rooms, my name has to be on each reservation, but when we check in the CM can take my name off of the reservation.

We got a couple of BRP rooms booked-used DU.

The FAQ's on the passholders site states this concerning this subject:

Q. Since the Passholder name must be on every reservation, what happens when the second room has two adults, not including the Passholder? Will I be charged an additional adult fee since this will show as three adults in this room?
You should book up to two adults in each room with the Passholder name as the primary Guest for each room and then add any additional adults, if any, at resort check-in. You will not be charged an additional fee as long as the number of adults staying in the room is allowed under that Resort's booking policies.

This doesn't make any sense to me. If I want my daughter and her husband in the second room and put my name and my daughters on the ressie and then add her husband at check-in, that would then be three adults in the room hence the additional charge.

And here's another problem. If you don't add the additional adults until check-in how can they use ME? Their names will not be on any reservation. Anyone care to field that one?

Shirley at Dreams Unlimited (owned by the DIS people) had no problem booking two BRP rooms for me recently. Yes, my name has to be on each reservation but the adult in the other room's name is also there.

I'm not sure about the whole ME thing but I think that as long as there are the same number of people in the party as are on the reservation there should be no problem. I don't think it matters whose name is on the tag (the reservation holder's name is usually the first name on the tag anyway, isn't it?

See that's what I don't know since I've never used ME. Do they check individual names or just number of people per ressie? If they check names, the person you add at check-in (as the website states) will be out of luck. :bitelip:

If the person plans on using Magical Express then each of thier names have to be on the reservation. Magical Express is booked only for the person/persons listed on the reservation, and you have to be listed on it to use the service. Otherwise you will have to use an alternate transportation service to get to the hotel.

Now for the luggage, if you have the tags on it (from ME) the luggage will get to the resort, but it's the actual transportation that will be an issue.

That's not what I was told. I specifically asked that question and they said that's not a problem.

from what I've read, technically you don't even need a reservation for ME, you are allowed to walk up that day and use it.

Hmmm. I don't know whether I have a problem or not at this point. If I follow the rules on the BRP website which specifically states: "You should book up to two adults in each room with the Passholder name as the primary Guest for each room and then add any additional adults, if any, at resort check-in" then why should one person in my party be denied use of ME transportation. I mean, everyone eventually listed should be entitled to the service as any other guest I would think. Everything seems so much more complicated than it used to be.

This is really going more in a transportation area than codes and rates--BUT---

Officially--if you are NOT listed on the Disney reservation you CANNOT use the Magical Express service. Therefore if for some reason you did not add the Magical Express service to your reservation and you show up at the airport and the Magical Express welcome center and want to use the service--if they can pull you up in the system and verify you are staying at a Disney resort then they will issue you the vouchers for the Magical Express service.

If you are NOT listed on the reservation then you CANNOT get the free Magical Express service and you will have to pay for transportation over to the resort. The Cast Members DO pull you up in the system and the vouchers printed have each person's names on them.

Bottom line--if you are booking a Best Rate plan room, and want to use the Magical Express service then you MUST list each peson on the reservation (even if it means paying the extra adult charge for the deposit and then trying to get it refunded once you are at the resort and explain to the CM that there are only 2 adults in the room.) If you are not using the Magical Express service then it won't make a difference.
