We would like to go to Disneyworld next year for a couple of weeks during the summer. I was wondering if for any reason there are better times to go during the months of July and August? We are flexible, so I would like to pick the least busy time. Can anyone help? Thanks!!::MickeyMo

I hate to say it but all of these months are really busy. The least would be the last week of August since most kids go back to school. That is the best suggestion I have! If you want to go at that time just plan on spending all day in the parks and plan on the crowds! Do fastpasses and be there when the parks open!

Many schools around the country head back to school in mid-August, so the last two weeks of the month are less crowded.

Go the last week of August and the first week of September. We went the last week of August this year (our first time to WDW in the summer- boy is it HOT!!!) and CM's told us is was much less crowded than the week before and they also said that the following week would be even less crowded.

Bring lots of sunblock and plan on going back to the hotel midday to cool off.

Anyone have any input on the crowds the first two weeks of June? Our oldest son started school this year so for the first time we'll have to visit during "peak times". We were hoping if we go right when he gets out for summer vacation, we'll beat some of the crowds (some schools not out for summer break yet) and also beat some of the heat. We live in Texas so we know June is still hot, but not as hot as August.

madelyn,
I also live in Texas and went the 1st week in June my first trip. I didnt think it was to busy. Used fastpass and that helped. Like you said, we can handle the heat being from Tx. This year, I will be there the 2nd week in June, so I am not sure what to expect(trying to get the most out of my AP)
Have fun!

we were there june 10-21, 2003. every day was noticeably busier than the day before. we couldn't go earlier because DH is a teacher and can't take off vacation days.

go AS SOON AS your school gets out, or wait until the end of august. schools in the south go back as early as the end of the second week in august, so the later you wait, the smaller the crowds.

enjoy!

Go the last week in August. That is the least crowd week to go. Also it value season for All-Star Resorts which makes it even better.

I would suggust going the July 4th week to. It's crowd but everything is open and be able to enjoy more.

August is a great time to go but just be aware that the parks also close earlier then as well. The earlier park times start about the third week. We went in late July this year and actually found the crowds very reasonable.

early on in June isnt too bad, went there 2 years ago with my boyfriend (not sure of the exact dates) but it really wasn't crowded and the weather was great

We go the secon or third week of August. THird week is less crowded. We have been there the end of July tho, and it was not too bad. THis year was very crowded the end of the second beginning of the third week, due to the Fairly Tale Pkg. It is also very very hot. YOu will drink lots of water. but it you use the fast pass right, and inside rides are airconditioned-you will be fine. We are going next week for New Years, just to check out the park in winter.
