We will be at Epcot last week in Sept. we have an 8:10 ADR at Akershus and I'm wondering if we should FP Soarin (family fav) and hurry over to FEA after b'fast? Or FP FEA and head to Soarin after b'fast?

1. Either that.
2. Or that.

1. Noting that Soarin' is MUCH easier to ride now that there are 3 theaters.
2. Noting that you would be "back-tracking" to do this.

:welcome: to the DISboards, atc!

From what i understand FEA is standby only until 11:00 am (No Fp availability until after 11:00am)
Maybe you are already aware of this, but something to consider.

I'd secure the FEA Fastpass, it will always have a long line.

Depends how long you'll spend eating breakfast. If it's a 9:00AM opening for Epcot, and you get there before your 8:10 ADR to get seated right away, do you think you'll be done by 9:00 when the RD crowd starts arriving? If so, I'd do FEA first, then FP Soarin'. If you think you'll linger at breakfast, then you're going to be behind the crowd regardless of which attraction you go to.

This is what we did last Aug... had 8:10 ADR at Akershus, on a day that the park opened at 9. After breakfast (we didn't rush) we were able to head immediately to FEA and got two rides in before the Rope Drop crowd arrived (we got in line for a third and were off less than 15 minutes later).

All of this is based on 9:00 AM opening (as noted by caliope).

That's what I'm worried about. My brother is a BIG (!) eater so I'm not I can rush him fast enough, lol. I'm leaning towards FEA fast pass for that reason.

My 60 day mark is tomorrow and for both of my Epcot days I'm going with FEA as my top tier FP. As Maelstrom line never really extended beyond Norway courtyard I'm curious to see how they queued a line there that could be longer than Soaring or TT.

Just my opinion but if FEA is still breaking down like it did last year I would try to get on early. We had 1:20 fps for FEA and never did get on, because it was pretty much down all afternoon and evening. We would see it back up and head back only to find it down again. We did Garden Grill for PPO breakfast, walked onto Soarin before park opening, walked over to Test Track and were headed into Mission Space before 9:30. The next day we went early to FEA and most of it was working. At least it didn't break down.

We had this exact scenario in July. I would FP Soarin. We were there at about 730 they let us in about 7:50ish and we headed straight back to Akershus and we're eating by 8 with an 810 reservation. We met all the princesses and ate to our hearts content and then rushed over to Frozen and rode twice with no line. When we got out for the second time the wait was up to a half hour. We canceled our FP for it for later in the day and picked up TT and rode soarin standby.

We just spent two days at EPCOT and FP each one for a day. Honestly, I think it's a 50/50 split. Soarin' definitely moves faster than it used to and Frozen wasn't that bad when we rode it via FP around 3pm (nap time??). If we were only going for one day next time I'd FP Soarin', but that's because we weren't blown away by FEA. In the future, I would skip it if the line is too long. I would NOT skip Soarin'. :)
