Which savanna view to request at AKV?

Hi,

I'm currently reserving our stay for Dec 08 in a 1bd savanna view. Any suggestions on which view to request? Having never stayed at the AKL before, I don't know the differences.
Any help would be appreciated!

Arusha or Uzima -- just not Sunset.

Yes, it can be a request but not guaranteed. "Arusha" is the the savanna that is inside the big U of the AKL/AKV building.

Arusha is first choice for me. Sunset is second. I don't like Uzima.

Thanks for the replies--can I ask why? What will I see in the different areas? I don't care too much about the construction b/c hopefully by then most or all of it will be finished.

We just returned from Sunset, and it wasn't bad (saw giraffes, zebras, and most frequently ostriches and crowned crane). The only real problem, frankly, was that we had a direct view of the Kidani construction!

Arusha is the prettiest and has more of the animals I like, including zebras. Uzima has mostly the tommies and gazelle type animals. Sunset has the river pigs!

Can you tell we LOVE the river pigs? Red river pigs, to be more exact. They are so ugly they are cute! and feisty. We first "met" them when they were just being introduced to the savanna back in December 2004. They have grown a lot since then and are really fun to watch.

As I just said before, we just returned from Sunset, and there were both zebras and giraffes on that savanna! Again, I wouldn't really recommend Sunset due to the view of the Kidani construction...
