Many times people come on here and ask which restaurant would someone choose at Disney World. Here's my twist on the same question. Which restaurant would you eat at if it was a local restaurant in your home town. A lot if times we eat at certain places because we are captive audiences so which would you still choose if it was local and you had plenty of choices and why?

Columbia Harbor House and Cape May Café....guess I just love the seafood!!

If there was an Ohana in my town, they'd have a table with my name inscribed on it!

Jiko would be our go to for the weekends

Victoria and Albert's for special occasions

*Palo isn't in WDW but I would love to have a restaurant like Palo especially the Brunch :cool1:

Great, and thought-provoking question, kasowell!

We have so many small great ethnic resturants up here, and our seafood can't be beat, and we get our beef direct from the source from a small organic ranch in Nebraska, so most of the stuff @ WDW is just a smaller selection of what we have locally.

And my wife is an awesome cook while I'm a half-way decent baker.

With that being said, if we had a Boma's up here, I think I would set-up a revolving account coming straight out of my paycheck if I could. It's our have-to-go-or-we're-not-getting-on-the-plane restuarant. The variety of food...and the flavors! Just outstanding!

Hmmm ... really interesting thread.

My area is a bit weak on South Asian/Indian flavors so I'd probably most enjoy have Jiko/Sanaa or Boma in my city. We've got a couple of places, but they tend to the bland ... other than a couple of food trucks I can never seem to triangulate.

Would be at Boma, Sanaa, ohana, garden grill, and mama Melrose every week!!!

Hmmm.....

I think DH would say Kona. We have a "Kona" but it isn't Disney Kona. It is tasty though!

I'd probably say 50's Prime Time. Sometimes I just want good "home" cookin'. And something other than Cracker Barrel! Besides the milkshakes and smores rock!

'Ohana & Akershus, both for dinner; my husband would also add Boma. For counter service, I'd add Flame Tree BBQ for the turkey sandwich & Sunshine Seasons.
