Which restaurant did you not like that everyone raves about?

Raglan Road, sad to say. None of us enjoyed our entrees or the atmosphere. Desert was good. We had the bread pudding and the trifle. Maybe we hit it at on an off day...

Loved Raglan, hated Puck (express for the lousy service with only so-so food and dining room for the atmosphere and again so-so food).

Tusker House and Ankershus.

DH loves Donald Duck so this should be a slam dunk, right? Not so much. First time, I waited so long for my table (even after being told I was next and they took my pager back) that it was nearly time for lunch. Second time, Daisy skipped us and then got mad when we asked if she would come back.

I kept hearing so many great things about Ankershus that we were really excited about our breakfast there. The food that was brought to the table was fine, but the cold buffet was kind of disappointing. I picked up a bagel, DH got an English muffin, but there was no toaster!!!!!!

I see everyone raving about Kona but the menu just doesn't do it for me. Maybe we'll try it some day.

Love LeCellier, it's a can't miss, very disappointed in Yachtsman Steakhouse, we didn't enjoy any of the food and it was 2 ts credits.

Oh, easy one...Ditto on Le Cellier. We were so disappointed. Service was bad, food was mediocre, and we waited for about 30 minutes even with an ADR and finally asked why we hadn't been seated...they admitted they forgot about us! Seriously? We were sitting right in front of them! I will admit that my ice wine flight was good, but hubby's beer flight was not.

On the other hand, we really like Jiko. But, I can appreciate the exoticness of the food is not for everyone. We haven't had anything there that we didn't like. Last time we ate there I was very happy that the chef actually prepapared a meal for our 6 year old DD at her request. She had delicious salmon & couscous cooked to perfection. She ate every morsel on her plate and was so happy to have the nontraditional child's menu offerings.

We also think Tony's gets unfair reviews. It's simple food, but not bad, especially with the limited choices in MK.

Jiko - Clearly it's not for everyone because of the "exoticness" of the menu. But you should know that going in. If you're not at least a little bit daring when it comes to food, you're better off somewhere else.

I said Jiko & it wasn't because the food was too exotic for us. In fact, it was quite the opposite. After reading replies like this, we went in expecting a meal of well spiced food that was an escape from the ordinary. Our meal was very average & the food was closer to bland than exotic. We would have loved an exotic meal. I'm really surprised that people consider Jiko's food that unusual.

I think the dining plan has ruined dining at Disney. Top quality food does not come cheaply so how can they afford to give it away? Either the quality has come way down or they are overcharging for everything else. I used to work at Tony's Town Square Restaurant back in the early 90's when it was open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and the food was quite good but the recent reviews are quite bad. With that being said we dined at Whispering Canyon, Boma and Kona Cafe on our most recent trip and we were dispointed in the service and food. Cape May seafood buffet on the other hand was decent.

Agreed. I eat all sorts of different types of food and so does my partner. What we ended up getting was boring. I honestly don't remember what I got other than I didn't like it and was so, so glad I wasn't paying OOP for it.

Chef Mickeys bar none the worst. the food anywhere the same and if FD or not WDW would use same food vendors. Have been going to WDW since first opened and before Epcot built and food much better and more choices now than ever.

Cape May we went for dinner and as soon as the CM checking us in for our ADR said to DH & I, "are you staying here at the BeachClub" and we told her we were staying at the BW I had a bad feeling. While we waited a man arrived and not having an ADR began to rave about he was spending x amount of $ to stay at the BC and he expected to be seated, another CM came out spoke to this man then escorted him and his family inside while DH & I waited along with others who did have ADRs.

Our server was almost impossible to undertand and when we returned to our table after going up to the buffet there was a couple at our table the server came by and moved them but good grief

Also the crab legs were the thinnest I have ever seen and I was not impressed with the food offerings in general

OMG agree totally. This used to be our family's favorite place, and we would go there our first night every year. I think every year it gets worse. Chef Mickey had seen the last of us after this last trip. Getting my ADRs in line for April and this is not making the list.

There are two that were a HUGE letdown that ppl seem to love.

1. Crystal Palace: VERY bland food.. I mean elementary school flavorless bland.. The only detracting element that was nice was the great service.

2. Brown Derby : Now this may have been before they apparently revamped their menu, as they have some actually edible sounding meals now on it...

However, when we first went almost a decade ago it was just a very very sparse menu of cobb salad (bleckk , hard boiled eggs...) , steak, and some 'meh' appetizers. The only thing I could find that I wanted to eat (which I am very easy to please) was the tofu noodle bowl. It tasted no better then one of those frozen food asian noodle entrees, and the tofu was AWFUL.. it was like a paste-like consistency.

Cape May Cafe. Easily the worst dinner buffet I've eaten at Disney! But my DH loved it, and we're trying it again in ten days. I'm trying to keep an open mind.

I have two on my list. Le cellier and Crystal Palace.

The steak at Le Cellier was nothing special. No flavor. I personally prefer and LOVE yachtsman steakhouse.

Just for the record, I love exotic foods. Jiko was boring not exotic at all. Ordinary filet with Mac and cheese and a so so wine sauce... I guess I ordered wrong. But everyone raved about it in reviews. Please don't blow off everyone who doesn't like Jiko as someone who doesn't like exotic food.
