Which Resort?

I have a family of four and we are metting a family of seven at Disney World. We all want to stay at the same resort. Which resort should we do?

Depend on your budget and tastes

I love Port orleans Riverside.
Nice enough, but without wasteful luxury items that I wouldnt utilize anyway.

You didn't mention if you wanted to try a value, moderate or deluxe. I've never stayed at a value but we love the CSR in the moderate range. Great pool and slide, the counter service restaurant the Pepper Market is very good and has lots of variety, the grounds are beautiful and the rooms are ample size for 4 people. Bus service is very good and lots of fun things to do around the resort!!!

AKL is our favorite deluxe because of, of course, the animals, but for so many more reasons. The AKL really has the theming perfect with the pool area, the African art and the restaurants. Love, love , love the AKL!!!

Your party of 7 will be required to take two rooms. Therefore, it's where-ever they can afford to go.

You might want to consider renting points from a DVC member. Your friends could get a 2 bedroom and you could get a studio or 1 bedroom. This will also give you an area to "hang out in" if you want. As well as a kitchen for snacks or meals.

I would recommend BCV or BWV so you are close to 2 parks.
