Pop Century was my first choice, but have heard since that it's noisy and the wall are pretty thin. Is that true?

We've stayed at all 3 All Stars and also at Pop Century on two of our trips. We've enjoyed our stays at all & would not hesitate to stay in any of these resorts. We've always found our accommodations well maintained & very clean. We are dvc members & have stayed in moderate & deluxe resorts as well but have always found All Stars & PC to also have their own special charm. In fact during our trip to BWV two weeks ago we drove past PC and our kids commented how on our next trip we should do our first night at PC or one of the All Stars before our dvc reservation because they really get you into the Disney frame of mind. And they do with their huge icons and themeing.

Personally I'd vote for PC first because I love all the memoribilia in the main lobby area and it has a small lake that's nice to stroll by. If you request an upper floor room on the lakeside of the 50's area it should be pretty quiet and offer you a nice view and give you easy access to the 50's pool as well as the main pool ( Hippy Dippy ) and to the lobby / dining / shopping / bus area.

Sports is good b/c of the great bus situation. First to get picked up, and forst to get dropped off!!! Awesome!!!

I think you would enjoy Pop Century, we had also heard that the walls were thin and it was noisy, but this wasn't a problem for us, we thoroughly enjoyed it.......and I think you would too

We stayed at Pop in May and found it to be very enjoyable. (In fact, we're headed back there in Septmeber!) The noise level was low compared to other hotels we've stayed at. That could be the luck of the draw, but it was much quieter than the apartment complex that we live in!

I'd choose Pop and request a lakeside room in Building 3 or 4. These rooms do not face the noisy pools, and some even offer a view of Epcot. They are standard, not preferred rooms, but they are still fairly close to the pools, bus stops and main building.

If you have an adjoining room door in your room and noise coming from the other side, open your side of the door, roll up a towel and place it on the floor as if you were blocking a draft, then close and lock you door.

Worst case scenario, pop in some earplugs!

Also, I hear that a lot of couples without kids choose All Star music because it seems quieter and smaller than the other value resorts. The rooms there are refurbished also. However, I've never stayed there myself.
