I thought I had this all figured out. BUT, my first love is the planning, so I'm questioning everything.
[I am driving to WDW w/ a friend in late July. We're spending one week together w/ our kids at AKL Concierge. Then we're splitting up and she is going further south (we'll be in 2 cars)...]
I have 3 nights that I'm up in the air about during the middle of our trip. After these 3 nights, my daughter and I check into the GF for one week - just the 2 of us
- rough life, ain't it? 
I currently have reservations at the Ritz Carlton Sarasota and also the Ritz Carlton Orlando for these three nights in early August; I have nice rates at each;
Now I'm wondering whether, as unadventurous as it might be, I should stick w/ a Disney hotel for those 3 nights and try a Disney Deluxe I haven't stayed at (or revisit one I have
) rather than venture outside of those Magical gates 
I'm a tad nervous about driving by myself w/ DD in unfamiliar territory and also the fact that this will be hurricane season 
What would you do?
Try out the Orlando Ritz?
Drive to Sarasota and see Fla's Gulf Coast for the first time?
Or stick w/ a Disney hotel?
proximity to particular parks will not really be a factor; we will probably take a break from the parks for these 3 days
WL(stayed here once and loved it!)
BWI (stayed concierge level here twice and loved it but would rather try something new)
BC(never stayed there)
YC(never stayed there)
CR (my daughter has never stayed there - but doesn't really want to either; I'd like to hold off on it until the renovations are done)
Poly (1st stay was in March '05 - LOVED it!!)
