Which resort will you book when free dining comes out?

As of right now we are booked at POR, I too am tossing around numbers since the rooms are so small and we are a family of 5. From what I have been told and researched, the Family Music Suites are not included in the promotion. I have even looked at doing the Poly or Contemporary..any ideas?

If you have the money go for the monorail resort...we LOVE the Poly, not so much the CR...but we have stayed 5 in POR (with 5 girls three adults two kids...) and there was plenty room!! It is a GREAT ROOM for the money and actually the bathroom set up is better and the trundle is great! Of course, I love being on the monorail so if you can swing it DO IT but ... do not hesistate to do POR-AB for 5! Ask for bld 14 and you are all set!! Also ask for ground floor if you have little kids...IMO.

I love both the Poly and POR-AB. At this point the only thing I say that would get me to book Poly again is a GREAT rate and the MONORAIL. Otherwise...I love POR. The boat to DTD is great and the pool is soooo much fun (you can pool hop to FQ too!) The pictures I have seen on this site do not do the POR justice. It is soooo much better than any pics I have ever seen

plus they have a lot of extra activities to do there like watercrafts, horse carriages, etc

Hopefully its POR for us Aug 27 to 9-2.

We are a family of 5 also, and last year we looked at POR. While running the numbers, I discovered it was only around $10 more to get two connecting rooms at Pop instead of one room at POR. It was really nice to be able to put the kids to bed and not have to go to bed also. The extra room, bathroom and tv was well worth the extra cost. :cool1:

Our family might to stay in the dolphin hotel.

Sorry, but you can't do free dining at the Dolphin. Although it is on-property, it is not a Disney-owned resort, so you can't book packages there. It's a beautiful resort and a good value, but if you want free dining, you'll have to stay somewhere else.

Booked the Poly for 5 pms. Just waiting til Mon am to adjust my ressie to free dining. Have never stayed there & thought this might our only chance at not spending a fortune.

I know what you mean. We're booked at Poly for 6 nights and paying for DDP w/ 40% code. It came to $2951.52 even w/ purchase of DDP. But DH called from work this morning and his truck won't go in reverse and this on top of AC expenses looks like we may have to take advantage of free dining and stay at CBR.:sad2: But having said that we would get to add an additional night on and end up saving around $1000 bucks.

I know I'll never get to stay at Poly for less than $222 per night again but money doesn't grow on trees in our yard.

how likely is it that you will get the connecting room though?

 Sorry to hear of your bad luck. I know exactly what that is like, and I don't have those kind of trees either

I am also trying desperately to stay at the Poly in September. It's been my dream since I was a little girl and there's no way I can afford it w/o free dining. I still can't afford it, but I'm doin' it anyway.

Hope it works out for you! :goodvibes

Hopefully POR but I need 2 rooms so I will take whatever is available.

As of now, we're booked at POR--so I'll probably stick with that if free dining rooms are still available when I call.

I've also been kicking around the idea of one of the Fort Wilderness cabins, if they're included. This will be my second choice if POR falls through.

Third choice is two rooms at a value.

Gems! That's it! Find me this week - just ask for Karen, mom of Claire (in Juniors). We must get together and talk Disney!

Okay, sorry for the disruption - back to your regularly scheduled thread ...
