Which resort has the best restaurants?

I would have to agree with Kona a the Poly!!!!!

Now you've got me thinking! (Uh-oh, it's way too early for that!);)

The Boardwalk/Epcot Resorts sound like they probably have the biggest variety (Yes?)

However, I've started reading about GF and those menus sure look good. Plus the atmosphere of the GF seems like it would be appropriate for 2 adults traveling without kids. (GF always seems a little more "adult" than the other resorts, even though you do see children there.)

I guess I need to decide what kind of atmosphere we would be happiest with. I think a savannah-view room at AKL would be something to talk about, but it seems so far from everything else. Is this actually a good thing?

I must admit, I'm one of those who thinks the CR is tacky. (CR fans please don't be mad at me. ;)) DH and I walked through last year and were not impressed. I think this resort would be more enjoyed by families.

Sorry so long. I can't seem to decide. Someone is just going to have to make up my mind!!!

Thanks for all the help fellow dis'ers! Maybe I'll figure something out before next year!

Not even close. Best resort for food. Y & B hands down. Book a room at the Yacht Club, you wont regret it. Happy eating!!!!!

Your right, GF has better restaurants in the resort but the EPCOT resorts have a better overall variety of restaurants available to you. Surprisingly the GF has a lot of kids, conventions and weddings. The Boardwalk Inn is probably better for couples. You really won't go wrong with either choice.

All of the resorts you are considering are wonderful resorts. My recommendation would be The Boardwalk Inn. It is fantastic without children, plenty of great restaurants to choose from (steak at Flying Fish!!), and the location can't be beat.

Happy Eating!!

If I were in your shoes (& allow me for a moment to spend your money!) I would choose the GF. Why?

1. Good restaurants on site
2. A short monorail ride away from the fabulous CA Grill
3. Only a little longer monorail ride to the best place for lunch on Disney property - Kona Cafe
4. I'm turned off by the theme at the Contemporary too. Couldn't sleep in those bright rooms!

We have had mixed dining experiences at Epcot. Le Cellier was great, love the Moroccan restaurant, not impressed with Italy at all (tried it twice).

Flying Fish is on my to do list.

Jiko & Boma at AKL are fabulous! Make sure to eat at one of them!

I enjoy the food at Poly (Kona Cafe), BC (Cape May Cafe), and BWI (Spoodles, Flying Fish Cafe, Seashore Sweets). I think the Epcot area is the way to go.
To answer your question about which resort for the two of you, I would say either the BWI or the BC. The BC does have Stormalong Bay, which is an amazing pool. It all depends on what matters. If you spend lots of time at the pool and enjoy buffets, go with BC. If you enjoy the "Boardwalk" theme and spending a lot of time at night at your resort, then go with the BWI. I don't care for the Swan/Dolphin at all. The BC is my personal favorite. Enjoy your stay!
