DH and I loved the quiet pool and spa at the YC but would like to try a new resort for our next trip. What would you suggest?

The only other WDW Resorts with spa is the Grand Floridian and Saratoga Springs. As for which pools are better I can't answer that since I have not stayed at either Resort to try them. However if I were to choose between them I would go with the Grand Floridian.

If you are looking for a quiet pool and hot tub, then try the Boardwalk Inn. The quiet pool and hot tub are never busy and so relaxing. I use it every stay, which is twice a year, and have never seen more than 3-4 people at a time. It is located in back of the Inn by the garden suites

We loved the pool at AKL. We have stayed there twice, once in Feb and once in October. Both trips pool was quiet, the two hot tubs were surprisingly devoid of children, so we were able to relax. They have a small spa, if you want basic spa services, like a massage, go to AKL. The surroundings, atmosphere and rooms are beyond belief. We are counting down the days until our next trip. :)

AKL does have an amazing pool area, but that's the only pool for the entire resort... and it's usually busy (not always crowded) at all times of the day, especially the afternoon.

I'd definately give a vote to SSR as there are several quiet pools amoungst the property and I know that Congress Park's quiet pool has a spa right there. This resort is VERY adult friendly (and even romantic at times) and if your able to get a 1-bedroom, you've got your own jacuzzi tub in the room. We've never found the quite pools to be remotely crowded, especially early evening.

If your looking for something on par with the YC I'd give another vote to the Boardwalk Inn. It has the main pool complex (Luna Park) and 2 "quiet pools", one on the villa side, and one in the courtyard of the Inn side. Since the inn side of the resort is so small (372 rooms) this pool area is never that busy due to most people with kids/families using the Luna Park main pool area.

Grand Floridian and Polynesian both offer nice quiet pool areas as well. The Polynesian's quiet pool does not have a spa, but the GF's does have two.

I believe that the Spa at Saratoga Springs was rated one of the best spas in Florida by Conde Nast..... I have nothing but WONDERFUL things to say about staying at the resort and about the spa facilities! Hope that helps! ENJOY!

Both spas at GF and SSR are excellent. And both resorts have very nice quiet pools. You might also consider the Polynesian since that it only a short walk to the GF spa.

You can see this pool from the concierge lounge, and I never saw anyone using it whenever we would pop into the lounge. Our kids wanted to use that dang clown pool, but if I was by myself I would have loved to use this area. It was very pretty.

Truth be told, I'd love to stay in one of those garden suites. They look lovely!

hands down....SSR...the quiet pools there are awesome.

I have zero complaints about the spa either...it was very nice (not cheap..but nice nevertheless)

have a very relaxing time,

I like the quiet pool at WL/VWL. It's tucked in the trees, and feels a world away from the chaotic fun of the feature pool. Plus, it's a quick and easy trip around the back of WL to visit the pool bar, should the need arise ;) .

I would also agree that the Boardwalk quiet pool is nice, as is the one at the BC. But WL/VWL is my favorite.

The GF and SSR have full service spa's. Out of those two, I'd say the SSR has the better quiet pool. The AKL, CSR, BW, CR, YC/BC and WL have massage and fitness centers. If you want to stay in the Epcot area, the BWI is a great choice.

We spend a lot of time at the resort pools.

IMO, two resorts that have "hidden gems" as it relates to pools, are the BWV and OKW quiet pools. Great, relaxing atmospheres.

Actually, that is wrong. The Coronado Springs Resort has a salon/fitness center/spa. My husband treats me to a massage every year we are at Disney during our stay at the CSR.
