In my opinion, any room onboard a Disney ship is a good one. Just go with what works for your budget, and the location that works best for the activities you're interested in.We have kids 12, 10, 8. Which part of the fantasy ship are better to stay.
I plan to book deck 2 inside room. Is it really going to add bad taste to our
First cruise experience?
Should I book back, middle or front?
Thanks!
We only book inside rooms as well and have been on decks 2, 8 & 9. The only thing we didn't like about deck 2 was the stairs up to deck 11 for snacks and drinks. Being on decks 8 and 9 was much more convenient for that. The flip side is we didn't gain as much weight when we were on deck 2.We have kids 12, 10, 8. You are in your room to get dress and do the five things that start with the letter S.
We stayed forward on Deck 2 on the Dream (same layout as Fantasy) and loved the location. We were in 2006 and friends were in 2004 and 2002....we really liked the area. There is a laundry room nearby (but was not a nuisance) and it was a very quiet, almost private little nook area.

So that is considered forward? It appears to be only as far forward as the forward elevators. I am not challenging you but asking for your wisdom. I always thought of forward as those cabins in front of the forward elevators. I guess those are by a tinch. Or maybe anything forward of midship elevators are forward? TIA.
It sounds and looks like a very quiet area.
More accurately, it's so you aren't ever IN the position where kids aren't around. There's also shave and the 5th is only if your kids aren't around!

But seriously, we do prefer decks 7-9 because we take the stairs everywhere so it generally is a little easier on those decks but deck 2 was super quiet. Enjoy your cruise!

All deck 2 staterooms are considered mid ship on the Fantasy. We only stay on deck 2 and with the new website classification of rooms I found this out.
I consider anything forward of the mid-ship elevators to be forward but technically I guess it is not completely forward. When we stay in cabin 8504 on the Fantasy THAT is definitely forward LOL!!
