We have been given free tickets for one park (any one we want) for this saturday from a friend of DH's. We dont do the parks very often (prefer to cruise instead). My kids are 14 and 11. Do any of you WDW regulars have an opinion on which park is best this time of year attraction, special stuff for the holidays etc. that my kids would enjoy.

Thanks

Since Magic Kingdom is open until 1:00 AM,I would go there(more bang for your buck)!:)Cinderella's Holiday Wish is at 6:30 and ends with the Castle Dream Lights being lit-PURE Disney Magic!:)

I would definitly do Magic Kingdom.........I would always pick it if I could only do one park

I too would pick MK. EPCOT would also be a good choice if you want to see all the different countries during the holiday and have a nice dinner.

Yes, if only one park - Magic Kingdom :) Has something for everyone and lots of magic ;)

I love MK and it's a must do....however if your kids like thrill rides you can do HS and see the lights there (a must at x-mas time)

The Extra Magic Hours on December 5 (and 6th) are for Hollywood Studios, so please do NOT even consider that park. Since the resort guests will be pushed in that direction, the Magic Kingdom would be an excellent choice with Epcot in a distant second.

Go Mickey Go!

If I only went to one park it would be MK. But remember that it will be crowded. This Saturday is the filming for the Christmas parade and EMH in the evening so it will be packed. We are avoiding this park on that day for those reasons. We are going to AK but with kids your age, I would recommend HS as my 2nd choice.

IF there's any Christmas parade taping going on at MK that day (I'm not sure of the exact schedule), I'd avoid it, EMH or not. Main St will be jammed in the a.m., which makes getting into the park a hassle, and while riding while the taping is going on may be good, all those people will dump into the rest of the park once the taping is over in the afternoon.

IF that's the case, and with kids that age (esp. if they like rides), I'd opt for HS.

Great point.
If the OP means THIS coming saturday that is Christmas Parade Taping Day. If that doesn't bother you, I would go w/ MK but that may bring in crowds, so I would go w/ Epcot, avoid DHS b/c EMH's will bring the crowds.

It would have to be the MK. I have been to them all many many times, has to be MK.

I'd pick Epcot. Crowds will be lighter than MK, the food is much better and you can also enjoy your favorite libation.

You can't go wrong really and hey, it's free. Stay away from DHS.
