Which MODERATE is your favorite, and why?

I have to give the nod to CSR. In no order of preference:

1. Decent food all around, plus milk and cookies delivered by golf cart is cool;
2. Nice swimming pools, and my kids dig (all pun intended) the dig site;
3. Rooms are clean and well-appointed;
4. Great paths for walking;
5. It seems as if the CSR's bus stops are the closest ones to the park exits;
6. Busses run quite frequently at CSR;
7. Pepper Mkt is a good place for kids to order what they want and not have
to sit and wait for their food;

And the most important reason? (well, for my wife, anyway)

8. My wife, who loves figure skating, was asked by Scott Hamilton to sit and have a coffee with him last year when the USFSA convention was there...

POFQ is my favorite. It is small, the pool is fun, the beignets in the morning are great.

Buzz, those pictures are beautiful! You are the very reason we chose CSR for our first Disney stay. It did not disappoint at all! The resort was amazing - great pool, food, etc.

CBR has our familys vote!!! Our children: 17g, 16g, 12b all who said CBR outbeat WL for them. They absolutely loved the atmosphere and that the rooms were brighter and seemed bigger. They loved the quiet pool in Jamaica, loved the walk through the island to Olde Port Royale and loved the main pool! My son loved the arcade and said it was better than WL, but that Contemporary's arcade is still his favorite. The hubby and I loved CBR for the cost factor, the size of rooms, the atmosphere...you really do feel like you're on a vacation within a vacation. The tropical island feel, the steel drums playing, pools located in each island and we always found the main pool to be empty early in the day or later in the evening. The shopping is a lot of fun with many different selections to chose from. The food was fresh and delicious and cheap compared to other resorts.

We had many problems at POFQ which has made us never want to stay there again. The problems with the plumbing...pipe burst soaking the whole room including our luggage and no water for almost two days without them moving us to another room!!! That's all we had asked was to be moved to another room and nope, couldn't be done. We couldn't move to another resort since we had 5 other rooms at POFQ filled with family members and we all wanted to stay together. The other problem we had was that our door kept getting jammed. We were locked in our room for 2 hours before they were able to get us out. What if there had been a fire??? Needless to say we'll never stay there again.

Thanks for info about CBR, Maria, We are staying there in Aug & thought we would ask to stay in Jamaica. How far is it from food court and which block is near bus stop. Does it have a bar, like POFQ?

I have stayed at all 4 of the mods you posted. My first choice of these is POR, followed by POFQ, then CBR, and finally CSR. I have always loved POR, and have been staying there back when it was called Dixie Landings. It is a beautiful resort with lovely grounds, nice dining, and fun pools. This is my first choice moderate resort.

My preference is POR. We stayed there three times. I like POFQ (we went for beignets). We have visited all the other resorts just for sightseeing as a nice cheap day in the World. POR just fit us better. We like more muted colors and the theming just fits our personality better.

FQ is very small and very quiet. It is heaven to leave your room and not have to walk far to get on the bus, go in the pool, or get a bite to eat. We just loved that resort!

Why did they take so long getting you out? That sounds horrible! I think I would have had a panic attack - and I don't have those!!!

Thanks everyone for all the advice. I'm still going back and forth between POFQ and CSR, but the votes didn't help much - they have been tied (or at least close the whole time).

The only reason I voted for Coronado Springs was the fitness center. I stayed there this past December and while the resort is very nice, the theming just isn't for me, however the fitness center was. Besides, when you are asleep, all of the rooms look alike!
