Which mod do u prefer?

Haha Joh, me too! You're my favourite mod of course.

As for the moderate hotels, I've stayed at CSR and POFQ. I love the theming at CSR, the lake is so nice and the main pool is amazing. POFQ is very compact and pretty, plus it has the added bonus of the boat to Downtown Disney. CBR has always interested me. To be honest, I don't think you can go wrong with any!

As far as moderate resorts, we haven't stayed at any of them but have visited Port Orleans French Quarter and really loved it. If we were to ever stay at a moderate resort, this is the one we would choose.

As for my favourite moderator, well I couldn't possibly say......

I clicked on the thread very quickly, was worried what I would read.

Never stayed in a moderate but looked around them all, I did once book POFQ but an AP discounted rate came out whech meant we could stay st the AK lodge for exactly the same price, cancelled POFQ.

CBR is the only one I haven't stayed at!! I would happily stay at any of the others again though think POR is my fave! CSR I loved Pepper Market and margaritas whilst the alligator watched us! POFQ I liked the size and the feel but felt the food court was bad! :-( I am veggie and don't think there was a single option and the place was tiny. POR I loved the food court, the watermill, the pools were good and I came home pregnant! Lol!! So maybe depends what your priorities are! ;-)

We stayed at POR back in the day when it was Dixie Landings, and since have stayed three times at POFQ. I love French Quarter as it is so petite, plus it has special memories from our wedding! The walk to Riverside and the boat to DTD are also great.

CBR has never appealed to us - it just seems so big. CSR I'm put off because it reminds me of the resort in DLP where I was really unwell lol!

In the context that I have stayed at POFQ and POR multiple times and only ever visited/read about the other two.

Favourite is POR if staying in a preferred room for proximity to main areas. Main pool is really good as is the spa, little pools are lovely too, grounds beautiful, food court the best of the mods IMHO, boats for hire, boat to DTD, decent bus service, large shop.

POFQ. Small shop and pool but both adequate. Small resort. Good bus service. Great with younger children. Food court not the best.

Coronado Springs. Put off by it been a convention resort and the pool has no deep part.

Caribbean Beach. Too big for me and I don't think the kids would like the food court but it looks gorgeous.

If we can't afford Poly or Beach Club we go to POR. Actually. I think it's much better value for money than a deluxe. Deluxe without a doubt nicer, but I increasingly think probably not enough nicer for the huge hike in price. That said. The Beach Club proximity to Epcot is a major draw for me.

but I am a veggie as well and agree they don't have many options at POFQ but they do normally offer a couple (you have to ask) but there's def not enough variety for a couple of weeks! POR is great for Veggies but just wanted to say, that the options at the Poly food court are really good...take a look when you go in a few months

Ok so after looking around a bit I think I have my heart set on CBR, anyone stayed there? How did u find it?
Or is there another mod which u prefer?

We have stayed at CBR & POR, we also had family staying at POFQ while we were at POR so we spent a lot of time over there too. A lot of people rave about POR but personally, I preferred CBR. I don't think there is much in it to be fair and it will be a personal preference because they are both quite large resorts and have very similar facilities. I don't think you'd be disappointed in any of the moderates.

The one thing I would say about CBR is that it is much easier to find your way around. POR can be really confusing, especially in the AB section. A bonus with POR or POFQ is you have the boat to DTD which is neat.

Aghh it's very confusing lol. Thanks for all of you're replies. It looks like POR and POFQ are the most popular here. CBR is around £200 cheaper, but it looks like the pros of POR/POFQ might outweigh that.

It's 2005 since I stayed at CBR so I won't comment on the rooms as they will have changed a lot presumably since then, but I just wanted to say how beautiful the grounds were. I loved being able to walk around the lake and there a little beaches with hammocks etc. We were in the Martinique block which is near the old port royale centre which was a good location.

We have stayed at POFQ and CSR and POR, we preferred CSR as my daughter preferred the pool area and landscaping was nice. The lake is nice to have a walk around or to sit at the bar next to it. It's can be a distance from your room to the central area but this didn't cause any problems. We had a car so can't comment on bus transportation.
