Which MBs are correct?

We have APs so we just received our AP Magic Bands. We have a split stay booked and have 2 more sets coming. Which ones are the correct ones for our trip? Do we have to carry all 3 sets around?

I have looked for answers and just read about others saying they get multiple sets too but wasn't sure how they actually work. Do we have to wear MB#1 to get into our resort, access Free Dining and wear AP MB#2 to get into the parks? Then during the 2nd part of the trip keep AP MB on then wear MB# 3 for resort access and charging privileges? I'm confused!

When I customized them I put our name as XXXX then initials for either AP, AKL or BCV behind them to differentiate and try to keep them easily identifiable but it seems silly to have to carry around/wear 2 MBs at any given time.

Any of them SHOULD work. As they should all point to the same MDE account. All your information is in MDE, and the bands only allow computer system to locate your account.

As long as each MB is linked to the right person in MDE, you should be able to use any/all of them interchangeably. You should see your AP and key to the world cards listed below them.

FYI - you will still need your AP card or AP discount card to get any discounts on purchases even though your AP is linked to your MBs. Sometimes they even ask for a photo ID as well.

I've been trying to find/figure out is the Passholder slider good for anything or is it just bling?

So I have a similar situation, but with a twist. I have an AP, but booked a bounceback last year. I had to book 2 basic tickets to get the bounce back, so my question is, On both the AP bands and the bands from the package, there will be the AP information and the 2 day tickets. How can I be sure that the AP is used and not the 2 day tickets (which I want to save to put toward the renewal of the AP in November)?

Great question. At Guest Services they can verify that your ticket priority is to use your AP first. If you want to be 100% sure, ask them to de-activate the package tickets and reactivate them at the end of your trip.

SO when you book your resort do you get 1 set of MB's ....then we got AP's a few days later. Will we get two sets???????

Go to guest relations outside of the first park (before you enter the first park) and ask them to either prioritize your tickets or better yet, ask them to pull your two day tickets off MDE and give you separate hard tickets that you can re-link to MDE when you are ready. That's what we did. :goodvibes

Thanks everyone so much for the info. I feel much better knowing I can use any of them for anything. I will definitely prioritize and/or get paper 2 day tickets bc we are staying under free dining the part of our trip too.

Yes, eventually. You will see an order to customize for your resort stay soon after you book it. After you activate your APs you will see another order to customize for the APs.

You place it over the end of the band so that it cannot accidentally come off. When you want to take it off, move the slider and unsnap it.
