Which Mario Game for Nintendo DS Lite?

My DS is getting the Nintendo DS Lite for Christmas (shh..he doesnt know). We were looking at them a while back in the magazine and he said if he ever got one he would want the Mario game. Well, I went to the store to get it and they have BUNCHES of Mario games. Does anyone have a favorite one or does their child like one better than another? Any input would be appreciated as I would like for him to have it when he opens his gift instead of having to fight after Christmas crowds. Thanks a bunch!!!

They seem to all be the same price except for a few pennies. You can use the Toys R Us coupons on games ($10 gift card with $75 purchase, $10 off $50, etc.). Toys R Us had a buy two, get one free sale a few weeks ago - don't know if they will do that again before Christmas. You can get free shipping from Amazon if you are ordering online. Other than that, I would watch the sale ads to see if a particular game is on sale a certain week.

I don't have a ds, but we play mario kart on gamecube (and nintendo 64 before that). We just love it. If we ever splurge and get the ds, we will get Mario Kart.

The entire family loves it, from the youngest, through the parents.

My sons really are enjoying Mario Hoops 3 on 3...they also like Super Princess Peach--not too girly if you like Mario games. The Princess Peach game has been borrowed by several other 4th and 5th grade boys,

Check ebay. Lots of people seem to be selling the DS games on there. I was able to pick up a popular game that was brand new in original shrinkwrap for a little over half what it would have cost me at TRU.

I think alopt of people took advantage of the buy 2 get 1 free promo and are selling extras on ebay.

My DS is 9 and loves the Mario Kart, as does my DH!!! I've caught him playing and trying to "unlock" whatever you are supposed to "unlock" even after DS is in bed. Glad I haven't tried. Seems addictive. Tetris on the Old Gameboy is my favorite. The kids are amazed that Mommy is so good!! They mean better than they are!!! Tetris, ah the good old days.!!!
My DS got the 3 on 3 Hoops last week for his birthday and he seems to enjoy that too!!

My DH has New Super Mario for his DS. It reminds me of the original Mario Bros.

I got the Princess Peach for mine and have caught DH playing it. He will now actually admit that it is harder than he thought and it isn't just for girls!

Sam's club had a bundle with the DS and the new Super Mario Brothers game - I think it was $160 but I'm not sure. It's not on the website.

My DD11 asked for Mario Kart for Christmas.

We have the new super mario and I love it. It is very old-school Mario - that's why I like it!!!!!!!!!
