DW and I are going to CBR 1st week of May, and are completely lost as to which island to shoot for. If the choice is between noisy and walking, I'd rather walk, but a nice combination of quiet and near the food court would be prefered.

Any codes?

Definately Jamaica!!! These are the yellow buildings. Beautiful, peaceful, & just across the bridge to the food court! You will love Jamaica!! :lovestruc

I dont think noise factors in anywhere. For non preferred Jamaica would be my selection, cant get closer without preferred, it is still over the island though.

We've stayed in the Aruba section (building 51) twice and love it. It's about a five minute walk to the food court, across the bridge. In fact, one of our favorite things about CBR was our daily walk over the bridge/island.

On a future stay we may try for Martinique because it's closer to the main pool/food area, but I'd miss that lovely walk over the bridge each day!

We stayed at Jamaica last May and it was great. It wasn't noisy and it was a five minute walk to the Food court and main pool. The walk was great. It was so relaxing and they play island music. Enjoy!

If you don't want to pay for a preferred location many people like Jamaica or Aruba. I agree there really isn't a noisy area.

Another vote for Jamaica! I think it is the most beautiful of the "islands." Love the yellow and blue. As for preferred rooms I like both Martinique and Trinidad North so either is fine IMHO. I think the resort is spread out enough that it was relatively quiet no matter where your room is unless it is really close to the pools.

For a preferred room I would say Martinique (North Trinidad is the other preferred but pool construction site is between North Trinidad and the food court). For non preferred either Aruba or Jamaica. I love CBR!!!!

Is Martinque Preferred? We booked Standard and were placed there. The CM's comment was "it is as close to preferred w/o being Preferred".

We liked CBR was an easy walk to the food court, the resort is quiet and I loved the convenient bus stops.

Three of the buildings are preferred at Martinique, the others are not. Martinique is still a great place to be.
