Which is more "fashionable" - Limited Too, Justice or both?

I haven't seen Justice plus sizes. I know that Old Navy online and Gymboree online have the plus sizes. When my daughter was wearing a plus size, Justice regular size (just a size or 2 up from her normal size) was the best fit I could find for her of the non-plus size clothing lines.

Okay, I'm a bit out of it also! My DD is 9, and also has a little belly (and a super muscular tush, not fat really, she's one little muscle there). She won't wear jeans at all - and stores like the Gap and Limited Too don't fit her. They seem to be better for skinnier girls.

My DD doesn't care at all where I get her clothes, but just wants to be comfortable. I like Hanna Andersson - you may want to check out their website. They have very comfy clothes, and we have always loved the playdress with matching loose leggings. For a girl with a little belly, they are flattering and comfy - plus we always get at least 2 years out of an outfit (I don't get it either, it just always works out that way).

I was even out with her one time at a mall last year, and she was wearing the playdress with leggings outfit. Another family came up and asked where we got it - I told them, and the mom said they were going to leave and go to the other mall where they have a location here (Tysons Corner). They had a daughter a little chubby, and loved the look.

I totally love their soft stuff! Oh, and I think there are girls in my DD's class that are more into fashion, but my DD just hangs out with the ones that aren't I think? She simply doesn't care yet (yeah! I can wait for the teens!).

I may be wrong, but I do believe that Justice and Limited Too are owned by the same people. They pretty much have the same things. I agree with the lady that said she puts the baby doll shirts are her child, my daughter is 10 and not fat, but not slim by any means, I love baby doll fit. We buy a lot of Aeropostle because it is more in our price range, but they have a limited selection of baby doll, but some, most of their tops are the Baby Tee fit and they are snug. I buy my 10 a med or large tshirt from aeropostle. My girls love limited too and justice also, but I have a hard time finding things that they like and I like. I just cannot like my kids do all their own shopping, just yet. Good Luck

My niece is 10 and she loves Justice, I know she likes stuff from Limited Too also (but doesn't have one near by).

So I'm out of my element on this one. My niece, whom I love to pieces, is going to be 9 this year and I had already decided on getting her clothes for Christmas but after talking with my sister I'm even more decided on it. My niece isn't fat but has quite a belly on her b/c according to her ped she has muscles that she needs to work. My sister says her belly is so pronounced (I live in a different state) she has a hard time finding clothes and now the kids at school are beginning to pick on her. My niece has always been a little socially awkward but now my heart really goes out to her b/c I was just like her at her age and even though I know clothes won't fix anything when I went through it not having trendy clothes just made it worse. So I'd like to get her one or two nice tops but wasn't sure what the "it" place was nowadays. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

If I'm not mistaken they are both owned by the same parent company. There was a rumour that the Limited Too stores would be shutting down and only the Justice stores will exist - not sure if this is true though. I think she'd be happy with either. I've shopped in both stores and I actually prefer Justice.

to be honest i dont care for either. its funny when you walk through the clothes are very basic or overly trendy. limited too is crazy expensive, the average shirt is $30+ and the average pants are 40+. so at a minimum thats $70 for a childs outfit. i dont know if you were planning to give a gift certificate, but giving one at limited too is difficult because for $100 gift card shes going to get about 3 things.
justice's prices arent as high(although they are hardly low) but the quality is horrid. all i found there was lots of ill fitting cotton tops and those track suits. it seems in both stores they will only have 3-4 outfits in many colors. the same outfit is just repeated over and over again in different areas. they both greatly lack variety.

my daughter is 8. if someone was going to give her a gift certificute to some where i think GAP, Filenes, jc penny and sears would be among her favorite choices. she loves the department stores because they always have a more to choose from. plus they sell the hannah montans line and all the movie character shirts. plus she can buy a whole lot more.

You can do very well at Limited Too, shopping the clearance items (which are usually still in season), and using Limited Bucks, and the 25% off coupon/code which I get monthly. I think the OP mentioned that the only reason why she wanted to get her clothes at these trendy, popular places was that her dn was socially awkward, and that maybe having cool clothes might help her to fit in more, and be more confident.

in order to get the too bucks, you need to buy the product first. my guess is she is shopping there once. again same with the 25% off coupons. i guess im just more of a bargain shopper. even with those "deals" the clothes are over priced and not worth it.

as far as buying her "cool" clothes for help her fit in. well the clothes dont make the man, and i dont think sending the message to a child that they do is appropriate. so i wasnt even acknowledging that aspect of it.

Just say Jessica sent you during the sale, and you get the discount. Clothing can give you confidence. I doubt a socially awkward 9 year old girl is dripping in confidence, so her aunt wants to give her a little edge. Let's face it - people are judged by their appearance. Lasting friendships do not rely on what you are wearing, of course, but some kids are never even given the chance to show others how special and kind they really are. The OP's niece is about to enter a very difficult social period of her life - as a tween, I'd much rather have a few great outfits, than a bunch of less fashionable ones.

Right on!! I was the oldest of 6 kids and always wore crap clothes. It was all my mom could afford and I understood. But I also had eyes, and could see how other kids dressed. I would have loved to be fashionable, and have just a few of the "in clothes". My kids' clothes are a big priority for me. I know it's a little shallow, but I want them to feel like they're dressed in "cool" clothes. Right now, for our 10 yr old, it's Limited Too. I bargain shop in many other areas, but this is a priority, so I don't mind a bit of splurge.

Limited Too is pricier than Justice, but you can find coupons for both. She may be old enough where a gift card would be the best option though. That way they can shop after Christmas and get more for the money.

The A-line or baby doll tops are pretty popular, and those may be more flattering for her than the skin tight t-shirts.

They are both really the same types of clothing. Limited too is more expensive than justice. Also, the sizes run a little small. We buy one size larger in shirts for my daughter, especially for the t-shirts.

well i suppose we dont agree, no big deal.
i also dont agree that limited too is all that fashionable. but i have an EMO style 8yo. which is fine by me, less money on clothes.
i guess if my daughter was asking for limited too clothes i would probably look into buying them. but it doesnt seem this girl was asking specifically for them, so it may not make any difference. i think i would just take the girl to the mall and have her lead the way. we dont all have the same style sense, she may not even like limited too.

I couldn't agree with you more. Make sure you save the tags/receipts for the Justice clothes because they fall apart after just a few washings. Also, even with a gift receipt, you can not get cash back, but have to rebuy their junk.

Maybe they are owned by the same company, but I feel that L2 has a better quality.

Good luck.

Can't see get on their mailing list and receive the ad that always has the 25% off coupon in it?

I have overpaid at L2, but I have also gotten some deals.

I don't like all their stuff and think some of it is cheaply made as well. But if you look close, you can get some cute things at a reasonable price. My daughter has some tops that she has worn over and over and over all summer long and they are still in good shape.

not for too bucks. you need to buy so much product, usually about $50 to get $25 in too bucks.
i guess we all look at deals differently. i dont think 25% off of their prices make them worth buying. a pair of pants is about $50. 25% off makes them $35. thats not a bargain to me. sure its less than the original grossly overpriced pants, but its still over priced.
and sure they have that dicount section in the back, but every time ive ever been in there its always seemed like junk back there.

anyway like i said, everyones "deal" is different. im glad youve found some deals there.
